Last week, the NOS (similar to BBC News), published an item on their website, it was an “hurray hurray”-item about the acceptation of homosexuality. Nine years ago, 18 % thought negative about homosexuality, now it’s 6 %. Indeed, it’s an improvement.

However, 35 % feels disgusted by two men kissing, the percentage of people who feels disgusted by two women kissing is only 12 %. Sexism.

Oh Holland, country of liberalism and tolerance, 40 % of your gay people has unpleasant experiences last year, bullying, offensive questions or jokes and debasing.

The most painful part of the article is the last part. Gay people commit suicide 5 times as often as straight people. Insane.

That evening, the NOS news broadcasted an item about these fact. Except for the last one. Detail.

First of all: I failed. I’m writing this while it’s Friday afternoon 7:18 PM, and not while it’s Thursday. Better luck next time! Today I’m going to speak about something some of you will identify yourselves with, I know Connor Franta does, but some of you will not.

In the coming-out video from Connor Franta (link: Coming out Connor Franta (Youtube)), Connor told us that he couldn’t say to himself “I’m gay”. It was something I recognised. I tried to say out loud “I’m gay” and I just couldn’t. At a few gay forums for teens like me, I didn’t fill in a sexual orientation, because I found “gay” sounded too ‘gay’.

Nowadays I do. I don’t know if I can say it out loud, I never tried for a long time. A few months ago, someone at a meeting for gay teens asked me if I was gay. I answered yes. It not a very big step. But it is a good start.

I’m so sorry that I sent this to you Saturday morning instead of Friday evening. My internet connection was broken, so I couldn’t send this to you. While I’m writing this, I think this would be another new year’s resolution: have my blogs finished at Thursday and have it already uploaded to the Tumblr servers, so I’m not due to my internet connection every Friday. But, as promised: my new-year’s resolutions. I usually don’t make them, because I always break my own rules, and I always feel guilty about it. But I feel I have to make them this year and while I’m writing, I believe it’s going to  be a very hard year this year. But, let’s get started, here they are:

I’m going to improve my English. When I’m writing my blogs to you, I have to look for some words in a dictionary, which is most of the time an online dictionary… I feel so bad about this because there are a few delicate differences in meaning of a couple of translations and very  often I don’t know which one to use. Plus: my phrasal verbs need some improvement.

I’m going to look for a new boyfriend, but I’m not going to take the first who just appears on my way. This might be one which needs some explanation: a few weeks ago I wrote about my new boyfriend and I went on a date with him, but eventually, we  didn’t have the same ideas and intensions at our first date. He would like to do things differently than I would like to do. After this date, we concluded we should break up. I was a few days a little upset, but not too long, I realised this wasn’t the true love I thought it was. I haven’t told you yet because I was afraid I would annul him in my blogs. This would eventually not my intension. So this year, I’m going to find a new boyfriend, but I’m not going to take the first one who just appears on my way. I will look with some more immersion.

I will create a big bubble butt. I think this might be one of the hardest, because I need some motivation to do my exercises twice a week. Please help me by submitting bubble butt pictures (please only send clothed butts :-) ).

This year will be the year in which I’m going to tell my family and friends I’m gay. Last year I discovered for myself I was gay, but I needed some time to accept myself.  I think this year I need to tell everyone, I don’t want to be in the closet forever. I think this will be the hardest one, you need so much bravery to tell this to your parents.

I hope I can stick to my own new year’s resolutions. I will keep you up in my next blogs for 2015. I’m looking forward to hearing from your new year’s resolutions.

Today I want to talk about something that happened in the Netherlands a week ago. The major  of Maastricht, Onno Hoes (Hoos) a city in the Southern of the Netherlands, is been filmed with an hidden cam during a date with a boy aged 20.

The relationship (do I use the right word?) between Mr. Hoes (not the plural form of hoe) and the media is a very complicate one. We have got a show on television, called Pownews, which is made by "journalists" who have the tactic to ask the most strange questions to politicians and see how they react. It’s a very piteous show. When there is a crisis in the Dutch government, and the prime minister walks out, they would have asked “can you tell your mommy tonight you’re still prime minister?” They only want to ruin peoples life.

A Dutch tabloid saw Hoes kissing with someone, who was definitely not his husband. This turned out to be a scandal, but in fact it was only about his reputation and not about his how well/bad he is at being major.

Pownews caught Hoes again, this time on Grindr, at which he had a profile picture of himself, lifting his shirt. This was inappropriate, we all know, because he’s married, but again, this is Hoes private life. A few weeks later, Hoes divorced.

A few weeks ago, Pownews sent a young boy to Hoes, who started tempting Hoes. He took screenshots of their whatsapp-converstations. He also filmed their dates with an hidden camera. Pownews broadcasted all of this “to show this abuses”. Filming with an hidden camera, introducing on privacy, is legal to show abuses, but not when there are no abuses.

I think Pownews doesn’t have a valid argument, this is not an abuse, Hoes is single and has the right to date other men.

Today is Friday, and not just a random Friday: it’s Paarse Vrijdag (Purple Friday)! It’s the equivalent of Spirit Day in the US and Canada, but we call it Purple Friday and celebrate it every second Friday of December!

My school is not a school  where gayness is very visible. We don’t have a GSA etc. Today I was wearing purple, and I was very curious and nervous about who would wear purple today. I actually was kind of sad when I arrived at school (okay, it was storming, that may have not improved my mood), but NOBODY was wearing purple.

I don’t understand, have people forgotten to wear purple or didn’t they know it’s Purple Friday? I think at least the teachers have to wear purple. I thought I was on a non-religious school where sexual orientation shouldn’t be a problem? I know at some religious schools they don’t have a problem with other sexual orientations even, but not at most religious schools they do.

I think teachers should set a good example and wear purple or at least show they don’t have a problem with gays. I mean, this is what it’s all about: show the gays they’re welcome at our schools and society, like other people. Maybe people think being gay is normal and not an issue, but it doesn’t feel like that always. By just showing it, you can help a gay realising he’s welcome at our society and he’s a normal person like so many others. It helps gays accepting themselves.

Happy Friday! Today I’m going to talk about my gay week, which was amazing! I thought I would never say this, but I’VE GOT A BOYFRIEND!! I’m so happy and excited!

Last Sunday, I met a guy online who was very nice and very pretty. I started talking to him using a very bad joke, but he actually reacted to me! We started talking and I found that he was so very funny and nice to me, and I asked for his phone number. He actually gave it!

Since then, we’ve texted and Facetimed a lot (he lives near Amsterdam and I live in Utrecht, that’s not even within biking distance for a Dutchman) and I started to love him so much! He is so very funny, nice, cute and beautiful and it’s so “gezellig” to talk to him! (you should read the Wikipedia page about gezellig: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gezelligheid). I can’t stop saying how beautiful and cute he is!

I know it’s just a texting/facetime relationship, but I’m in love for the first time and it is amazing!!

First of all, I'm very sorry that I didn't spoke to you last week, I was very busy and just forgot it.Today I'm going to talk about fictive gays, or about the lack of them.

I've hardly read a book or seen a movie in which was a gay without it was the main theme. In real life and at the internet, people claim to be very gay friendly, but everyone seems to forget that even in books or films gays exist, statistically.

The first book I read in which was a gay character (which was not the main theme) in the "The valley" series by Krystyna Kuhn. It's a very nice series, but in Dutch only the first four parts exist... Maybe in English will be more books and I'm sure there will be more books in German (Kuhn is German).

Other people automatically make fictive character who not have a relationship gay or bisexual. Maybe some of you won't understand, but it's sounds ridiculous to me to hear people saying Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street are a gay couple... Some characters just doesn't have a sexual preference...

I hope some writers will let appear some gay characters in their books, BUT LEAVE MY FAVOURITE CHARACTERS ALONE. Thanks.
