And I don't really understand why he's in charge of where I stay, and... Is there anything you can do?"

"Are you going to go find... Padfoot? Wherever he went?"

“I think... Pads deserves a bit of freedom. I’m sure both of us will here from him quite often. If he wants to be found he will tell me. Until then I am happy that the important people kno the truth and he can feel the sun again, as you should be.”

"...Not really that much, I guess. I know it's really hard, that having to give up this job is a big deal, that it'll probably be hard to find another one." He shifted uncomfortably. Harry knew Remus probably didn't need him to worry about on top of everything, but he was scared. He'd run away a month before school started in the fall and there was no way he'd be able to go back like that had never happened. So he'd needed to ask.

“If I were to take you, not only would you lose whatever protections Dumbledore has put in place with the Dursley’s, I fear I would not be able to provide for you in the way you deserve.” Sadness lined Remus’ face. “I wouldn’t feel right knowing you lacked stability and food security.” A scarred hand reaches out and rested on Harry’s shoulder.

"Remus-" he reached up to place his hand over Remus' and met his eyes again. "Even if I can't go with you, can you... Could you visit? Something, please?"

“How about, I accompany you back to your Aunt and Uncle’s house? Have a uh... special word with them.” There was a faint twinkle of mischief in Remus’ eyes. “And I have no doubt the Weasley’s would be happy to have you over this summer. And of course I’ll write to you any chance I get” He gave the teen a warm smile.
