All Monsters Are Human

"This isn’t fair, this is torture. You’re a monster, all of you."

She passed out and the scientist chuckled, jotting down a comment on his paper. The light turned green again, but no one screamed out in pain. Both buttons were programmed to Kitty's own collar-- a trap, Kaleb was nowhere near them.

There was nothing Maeve could hear except for the echoing silence, the continuum only breaking at the low creak of the opening door. She didn’t bother to look over, passing it off for another guard until she heard the familiar tone of Joshua Waite. There was a moment of confusion, her brows furrowing to ask him—what? How? But that passed within a millisecond as she stretched herself onto her feet once again and followed to stand by his side. There would be time for questions later, although the situation was self-explanatory. 

"You're going to die," Joshua told her with a smirk. "You see, this is protocol," he began explaining as he began to walk down the hallway towards the back exit. "Rather than taking you to Oak Creek, those caught hidden within humans, were to be executed. Now, however, they are to be taken to the Research Unit." Juarez followed close behind. "We take you somewhere in the woods and you disappear," he finished as he crossed the parking lot and opened the passenger door of a black Impala to the Druid.

"This isn't fair, this is torture. You're a monster, all of you."

Joshua chuckled. "Nope," he replied with an almost childish smile. "Trust me, it has to be. And it makes us crazy in return," he commented absently. "But for me, its also home." Unlike the she-wolf, Joshua couldn't leave... not anymore. Once standing before Cora Hale, Joshua waited till Ridley joined them. "Cora, Ridley," Joshua introduced them. "Ridley, this is Cora."

Joshua stood in front of a counter at the nurse's station, waiting on the head nurse to pull Maeve's file. "I need you to fill in a death certificate, Melissa," he told her lowly, dark hues locked with the nurse's gaze. "Make up a signature and fill it in. Any fall outs, I'll take responsibility for it," the soldier promised her. "But right now, its either a fake certificate now or a real one in a day or two." Joshua knew Gerard would order Maeve's death--what was worst, he would probably allow Dr. Alexei Benain to have his way with the druid... and to be truthful, Joshua believed Death to be much sweeter than being at the mercy of such a psychopath.

"Would he? Or would he instead be willing to take another mission?" He wondered. "Questions, questions..." Dr. Benain chuckled to himself and pulled out a timer from his pocket. "One minute," he marked, and placed it on the table before Kitty. "Every fifteen seconds, a charge of electricity will be discharged." He pointed up at a green light bulb. "That will signal the electricity being release," he informed the she-wolf. He pressed the trigger into her hand. "The button to the right, the one labeled with a Roman one is the trigger for Kaleb's collar. The Roman two is the trigger for your own collar. Choose who is on the receiving end of the electric charge."

Dr. Benain's statement clearly hit a nerve, it was noticeable in the she-wolf eyes. The cockiness in her attitude melted off, overtaken by tension and certain strong anger. "Trust me, child, I am more than aware of this," he said softly in response of Chile's spiteful words. A soft, secretive smile lingered ghostly on his lips, steel blue eyes on the Alpha. "Do you know what society does to these pleasure-driven murderers? Imprison them for life or kill them," he reminded her. "At least, we are trying to help you."

Joshua had to smile at the she-wolf’s words. It was pretty funny the way destiny worked—the way it made hateful enemies turn into friends. Although, from Gerard’s point of view, it would make friends into traitors…

"You might look like just a little shit... but I know what you are capable of," he teased with a shrug. "Chocolate chip..." he mumbled to himself as he hopped off the truck. Going in the restaurant, he ordered the she-wolf her chocolate chip pancakes and got himself one of their milkshakes.

A powerful she-wolf, proud and with a grudge--Alexei did not blamed Gerard for respecting her as an opponent. "Before they were blue, they were golden," the doctor recited for Chloe. "It is thought to our troops, and now to the public. It reminds us to be careful. Even if unwillingly, you must admit your kind is dangerous... others already have admitted it."

Even though they had been separated for a decade (most of their lives really), brother and sister were still unbelievably loyal and caring for one another. Was that normal for werewolves? It seemed similar to the twin cases, at least to Dr. Benain. "Is it because you're pack?" Alexei voiced his thoughts. "Is that why you are still loyal to him? Or some other deeper bond?" Alexei tilted his head, watching the she-wolf intensely. "If I press this button, would you feel his pain?" The doctor wondered, steel blue eyes focusing on the small trigger.

Alexei watched the banshee closely, recording each movement and word to memory. A camera hidden within the room also recorded the scene to be documented. It recorded Lydia covering her ears, squeezing her eyes shut and muttering words to the doctor.

The doctor watched as white glowing hues approached the dying guard. It hissed threateningly, a low chuckle shadowing one of Jake's terrified whimpers. Then, it attacked. Dr. Benain could not see it in the darkness of the room, but he could hear it: hear the wendigo bite at Jake's neck and feeding on the flesh. Later, the doctor would re-watch the tapes of the session in order to see the video the nocturnal cameras had taken.

When they started to walk, she just sighed “I have those special bullets, if the wolf doesn’t have the bullet, his dead is insured, 48 hours of pain” But with the pack would be different, they or at least she is going to kill anyone in that pack, anyone and she doesn’t have mercy to any of them, that’s something clear. Kate was knowing for being cruel most of the time and some hunters are scared of her, she knows that very well.

"Forty-eight hours," Joshua mused lowly with a cruel smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. "Couldn't we watch?" he asked in a teasingly saddened tone. This was what Joshua loved about Kate, why he enjoyed going out on the field with Kate: she was ruthless, and Joshua was bloodthirsty since the death of Lisa. It was an insatiable thirst that Joshua was sure would not be satisfied until he had gotten his revenge on the she-wolf that had attacked him and his beloved so many months before.

Hearing Ridley's proposition, Joshua chuckled lowly, a hint of bitterness in his features. "Is it really so easy? After... everything. After all I've done to you? To your Alpha?" He chuckled again. "I don't even deserve the trust you both put in me," he commented, showing he had accepted that long before. He drove towards the nearest Ihop, making good on his promise to the she-wolf. "Of course, I can't say I'm not a little bitter myself," he added with a laugh. His eyes caught his own reflection on the review mirror, looking at his old scar, the one sitting under his left eye and had been caused by RIdley herself.
