DAY 6

Celebration

Beej and Lani are celebrating the first year anniversary of the day Beetlejuice first haunted her lmao (and the start of their interesting relationship). Lani absolutely loves being levitated/possessed and Beej happily obliges (he also got her a stuffed sandworm because she is all about worms). —

Beetlejuice OC Week! I’m using my sequel story kid Luna, Lydia’s daughter and Beetlejuice’s new BFF~ The Prompt was “Free Day”

I decided to go all-out with this one! Now that Beetlejuice is back, had himself about as good a “redemption-arc” as he could get, and found himself a best friend who actually likes him, it is time for new family pictures!

First is Lydia, Daniel, and Luna… and also Beetlejuice~ Luna isn’t just waving at the camera, she’s got an arm around her undead buddy!

Then we have Grandma Delia, who still has the most unique sense of dressing-up (that is a single pantleg from pair of jeans she’s using as a hair-tie). Once again, Beetlejuice is there~

Uncle Otho, who at some point came back to the Maitland/Deetz house to apologize for the whole seance-gone-wrong incident and also ditching them all at the end just because Beetlejuice put him in that outfit. After doing lots of work around the house, to get it just the way both Barbara AND Delia liked it, they finally forgave him. Now, he’s part of this odd family, with a picture on the wall to prove it… Beetlejuice is also happy to see him again~

Finally are the Maitlands, we can’t leave out Uncle Adam and Aunt Barbara! This family picture day also happens to be on their wedding anniversary, so Lydia helped them take a photo with a couple of bed sheets… Beetlejuice refused to be ignored, if something isn’t about him, he’s gonna MAKE it about him~

Okay! Today is the last day of the @beetlejuiceocweek​ and since this is the free day meaning I can do whatever I want(Inside the rules of the week of course) I decided to do a voice recording for a scene I’ve been planning to record anyway.

Luka’s about to cook up something good for him and Beetlejuice, but he’s gotta play some of his favorite music to chop up that meat. Yes the guy enjoys some death metal music, but he mostly listens to it when cooking for… reasons XD

Day 5 Swap AU

“Whew! Finally off of work! Libraries are easy jobs, but they’re such a bore.” Making his way back inside the house, Lawrence sighed in relief as he made his way to slump on the couch. Stretching out and relaxing, he nearly drifted to sleep when he remembered something important. “Oh right! Can’t forget to start the night right! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!”

As the ground suddenly began to shake, a large hole broke on the floor in front of the couch. Cries of tortured souls echoed from it as a black hooded figure rose from inside the hole. “For thousands of years I lay dormant… WHO HAS DISTURBED MY SLUMBER!” A demonic voice boomed from the hooded figure as he stepped forward. Upon noticing the human before him however, he stopped with the theatrics, pulling back his hood to show a messy bed head of brunette hair and closed the hole behind him. “Oh, hey there. What’s up?”

“What? Can’t I call on my cute demon boyfriend?” Lawrence grinned, he stood up and gave his cheek a playful kiss as the demon’s hair lit up into a bright pink. “Hehehe, you sure do get cute when flustered, Beetlejuice.”

“Enough with the B-word, I told you it’s easier to call me by my first name.” he corrected.

“Luka it is. Now come on, Luker. How about we get some cuddling in tonight?” Lawrence suggested.

“Is that really why you summoned me… for that?”

“Is that such a bad thing?” he asked with a playful pout.

“I swear…” sighing softly, Luka smiled as he grabbed Lawrence and carried him in his arms. “You’re lucky you’re the only person who can see me. You’re also lucky I got a thing for weirdos like you.”

“Hehe, a weirdo with a dead demonic boyfriend? I’m a lucky guy!”

Basically, Beej and Luka would be the same personalities just swapped for their… races? Beej being a silly horn dog of a human and Luka as a chill, reserved but still dangerous demon.

Day 4: Pride

“Hey, Luker! It’s the start of June, you know what that means?”  The demon grinned as he watched his boyfriend work at his computer.

“June? Um, it’s the start of summer, I don’t really know what else.” he answered as he continued typing up a document.

“It’s Pride Month, babe! We gotta celebrate!” Beej turned Luka’s attention to him, revealing the specter was wearing his usual suit but with the stripes colored in pink, yellow and blue. The colors of the pansexual flag. “Let’s go out into town and spread it loud and proud!”

“I’m not saying it’s bad to show your pride. But man that suit is gonna be blinding, maybe just the flag would’ve worked.”

“No way, we gotta show off our pride in the best way possible! Don’t you think so?” he asked.

“I mean, sure but… I’m not really sure what I’d be considered as.” Luka admitted.

“Really? You don’t know what flag you’re under?” Beetlejuice questioned.

“I’ve never really had a relationship to really know what I like. Don’t forget, I don’t really like people. Not enough to wanna date them.” he explained. “I can say that I do like girls, and depending on the guy… I can find myself attracted to them too.”

“Like your buddy, Brandon at the Library? Or your boss that you crush on.” the demon teased.

“But…” he continued. “I just never thought of asking anyone out… not until I met you. You were the only person I’ve ever felt that I um… wanted to be with.”

“Awww, make me feel special why don’tcha? So, I’m the only person you wanted a relationship to huh? Meaning I’m the only one you’ve really been attracted to.” Beetlejuice gave a rather smarmy grin, which only made Luka groan at the sight. “You know what this means, babe? You’re…”

“No.”

“You’re…”

“I swear, Beej. If you say it, I will…”

“Beetlejuicesexual!” The demon cheered as he finger gunned his boyfriend, firing off and hitting Luka’s clothes with his usual black and white stripes. “I gotta say babe, knowing your sexuality is for yours truly? I’m pretty honored.”

“I swear… I really can’t deal with you sometimes. But I guess in a way you’re not entirely wrong.” Luka chuckled. “Alright! Come on, let’s go and meet the girls. Time to celebrate our colors.”

“Hell yeah! The first pride month for Beetlejuicesexuality!”

We’re on day 3 for @beetlejuiceocweek​ so here’s another short story for Beej and his human boyfriend Luka.

Day 3 Hayride

“Ahhh! Feel that November wind on your face! Ain’t it great?” Beetlejuice grinned as he laid back in the pile of hay he and Luka sat in. Luka had taken the demon off for a nice little date, taking a hayride on a cart as a tractor drove along the road. “This was a great idea, Luker. Don’t think I’ve ever been on a hayride before.”

“Yeah, they’re pretty fun. Even now.” Luka gave a short response as he stared off towards the distance.

“What’s with you? You were the one who suggested this, but you don’t seem happy about it.” he pointed out.

“Sorry, I’m happy of course. It’s just bringing back old memories. I only went on a hayride once back in elementary school.” Luka explained. “It was really fun laying and playing in the hay with Cas and Hal. But as I got older, well… Mom thought I should go with a more preparatory school… not really any fun field trips when I went there. I was happy the girls were there with me, but I always wish we can do more fun stuff ya know?”

“Ugh! Your mother’s almost as bad as mine and that’s saying a lot.” Beetlejuice hated seeing his boyfriend so down, which only gave him more of a reason to try and cheer him up. He grabbed Luka and pulled him off the bed of hay. “Alright! No more getting gloomy mister, you gotta get out of that and have some fun!”

“I am having fun.”

“Then come on babe! You should show it more! Don’t let your annoying mom bring you down. It’s just like you said, you’ve got your friends in Cas and Hal.” he grinned pointing to himself. “And now you’ve got your great boyfriend, The Ghost with The Most! The number 1, bestest boyfriend in the world!”

“Um… since when did you get that title?” Luka chuckled and kissed the demon’s cheek, turning him into a pink blushing mess. “Thanks Beej, I’m really glad we came here. I can enjoy this a lot better now.”

“Good! Then how about laying another smooch in this bed of hay?” The demon winked playfully.

Today is day 2 of BeetlejuiceOCweek so let’s start it right! 

 Haunting

It was the middle of the morning when things began to happen, Luka slept peacefully in his bed. Draping himself in his blanket when it was suddenly pulled off his body, waking him up. He sighed, expecting this to happen much later than sooner. Getting to his feet, he slipped into his slippers and made his way towards the bathroom.

“Alright, let’s start the day.” He started the bathroom sink and washed his face with water, grabbing a rag to dry off before checking himself in the mirror. Luka got a good look at himself, brushing his usual bedhead of hair when his face suddenly began to melt, distorting until a monstrous visage took its place and screamed at him. “Hm, looks the same as always.” He left the room, leaving the reflection in the mirror dumbfounded.

As he made his way downstairs, the stairs suddenly began to shake but Luka paid them no mind as he went down to the kitchen. He grabbed a bowl with milk and his favorite cereal, ready to start his day when he noticed the milk suddenly begin to bubble in front of him. He stepped back as the milk began to rise from the bowl, A large green haired figure with four arms appeared atop the bowl, a big sharktooth grin adorned his face as he lunged in front of Luka. Roaring right in his face, only to be pushed back with a smack to his face.

“What did I tell you, Beetlejuice? I don’t care if you wanna try scaring me sometimes, but don’t mess with me when I’m eating!” he lectured the demon like it was nothing. “I just wanted some cereal… now I’ve gotta make something else.”

“Hehehe, sorry bout that babe.” Beej apologized. “Come on, you gotta admit it was pretty fun, right?”

“Pretty fun for you. Just another day for me.” Luka replied. “Now then, I’m gonna make some pancakes. You are going to clean up your mess.”

“Fine…”

“Do a good job, and I’ll make you a plate… with all your favorite toppings too.” Luka smiled as he went to grab the pancake mix from the fridge.

“Aww, you really are the best Luker!”

Beetlejuice OC Week! I’m using my sequel story kid Luna, Lydia’s daughter and Beetlejuice’s new BFF~ The Prompt was “Haunting”

Luna has grown up in a haunted house, what with the Maitlands as her surrogate aunt and uncle, plus various spirits that kinda just randomly pass through… but now the Ghost with the Most is back, and he’s here to stay! The whole point of my sequel story “Beetlejuice in Hawaii” is so we can see him go from the jerk we knew in the original movie, to somebody more like a combo of the animated series/musical (still a chaotic fun-loving jerk, but less of a creep, and more lovable). This also means that in a perfect world, the sequel would result in a re-boot of the cartoon, now featuring Luna (she’s both his partner in crime, but also a good influence. thanks to her, he got a redemption arc, heck yeah). Everybody else is gonna need some time to adjust to this, but these two are already having a great time!

And a few months later, it turns out that cat was pregnant, not fat.

I had fun with this one! First is Lydia and Daniel; when I was first trying to come up with his design and Lydia’s grown-up look, I took a moment to step back and noticed that the color schemes for them were pretty much the bi and trans flags, and I was like “Yep, they’re bi and trans. This is law”. Daniel is he’s from Hawaii, he and Lydia met when she went there on vacation during college to take nature pictures. They didn’t date right away because of the long-distance factor, so they just mutually pinned for each other for a couple of years, and then started dating when Lydia was done with college. They both took a romantic road-trip together, and eventually got married. Before getting married, they both fretted and fussed internally on how to explain to the person they loved that they were ace… and then it was all stress over nothing, because they BOTH are, and they had a good chuckle over it (still very affectionate, physically intimate, and passionately in love with each other. they both just didn’t want to disappoint the other in some way, and it turned out to be a total non-issue) 

Next is Luna and her girlfriend, two tiny lesbians, and one is a trans girl! (I basically imagined “what if Claire wasn’t horrible an annoying?” and made a character out of that. not literally Claire obviously, but a preppy/cutsey girl Luna goes to school with, and they eventually start dating) Her name is Dawn, and that means these two have matching sun/moon names, and I’m sorry, but it is so adorable I almost can’t stand it. Luna is 13, and Dawn is 12, so they aren’t doing any serious dating yet, but they like each other very much. They hang out often, hold hands, hug, and share a few kisses on the cheek~ If this got to be a real re-boot of the cartoon show, we’d see them go from friends, to cute crushes, finally dating, and being girlfriends. Dawn isn’t fully aware of all the spooky stuff in Luna’s life, but as the years go by, Luna will gradually introduce her to it all (Beetlejuice has technically met Dawn in some of his various “human disguises”, and he enjoys teasing Luna about her girlfriend… but he also thinks they’re a cute couple, and goes out of his way to make sure they aren’t bothered on their dates)

We were robbed of no Otho in the original cartoon show, and I demand this be fixed! He gets to show up a lot, another extra “uncle” for Luna, he’s always talking about some new job adventure he’s part of (ranging from being a wedding planner to a butterfly farmer to a truck driver… he literally does everything, no matter how nonsensical or normal). He also gets to have plenty of boyfriends, and at some point perhaps we’d see him settle down with somebody. He always wears interesting outfits, and for this picture he’s got an embroidered jacket with rainbow colors~
