In the second part to the lay of you, the depth of you was exhilarating. I loved this book just as much as the first if not more.

We follow Jennifer and Dosie who have now been together for 6 months. Jennifer receives information about her past that sets her not just on edge, but sends her back into the grief. Dosie tried to help as best she can but at the start Jennifer is angry, never at Dosie, but her anger and hurt and grief hit Dosie.

Over the course of this story we watch Jennifer navigate her own grief whilst Dosie also gets a surprise from the past. And know she wasn’t there to help knaws away at Jennifer.

In the end though Dosie breaks through the hard shell of her girlfriend and gets her to open up about her past and her feelings which as we’ve previously seen is not the easiest thing to do for Miss. DuPont.

We find out mor about Jennifer’s family and other parts of her past which made for a lot of intrigue and shows us how much she has grown over the years.

One of the strongest character growth in this book though was for Dosie. The confidence growth since being with Jennifer, she’s become more witty and funny, and an absolute joy to read with. the two of them make me feel so much emotion, from one end to the other in just a few pages.

Lastly, the spice! Again, the spice in this book was unbelievably amazing! The details that went into every scene made my own cheeks red with blushing. Not as many as the first book, but certainly enough to clench my thirst and my thighs.

Their story is beautiful and unforgettable. They are characters who will stay with me forever, thank you for another beautiful read, a book I just couldn’t put down, not even in favour of sleep! 💛 I also hope there will be a third book at some point, but that’s just me!

Dosie hires Jennifer to help her safely explore physical intimacy and overcome past trauma. Their business arrangement quickly evolves a relationship that neither of them expect.

We follow Jennifer and Dosie on an absolute beautiful story of healing.

I was hooked from the very first page of this book. We start off with Jennifer the escort agent and agency owner. She is powerful and confident and intimating, even before meeting Dosie. You can see clearly she's someone that you do not want to mess with. She's scary (in the best way), intimidating, and beautiful in the way she carries herself. But you can also see the way she’s keeps her cards close to her chest and how she could become protective of those she cares for.

The way this book is written kept me turning the pages, kept me wanting more, wanting more of their dynamic, of who they are and what made them both tick individually and together. Why did Jennifer do certain things and why did Dosie behave in certain ways? It kept me hooked throughout, page after page!

The emotional depth of these two characters was extrodinaryly brilliant and not just that, the way the side characters were written, they felt like main characters too!

But the connection between Dosie and Jennifer is what had me, from their very first interaction, I wanted to be fed all of what they are.

Now the spice in this book was some of the best I have seen in a *very very* long time, it was done not just in the usual way of emotions, feelings etc, but it was done in a way of education and knowing that not everyone, especially in the queer community knows much about sex and the risks, as well as the pleasure that can come from it, and this was again written incredibly well, without judgement from Jen to Dosie. She just wanted to help her.

I adored the way in which there were some unexpected shock factors, certain things with each persons trauma had me gasping and clutching my non-existant pearls.

Lastly, I related to both Jennifer and Dosie in different way, I feel like their personalities and what made them who they are is a mixture of who I am, and it was why I could realte and felt so connected to them both.

I am genuinly so in love with this and them, and how their relationship grows and how they navigate through it all.

This book will be one I shall be reading again, and very much on my favourites shelf!
