Ghost got like, biblically stomped on during a match, like surgery on his face to put the cheek of his orbital socket back to being securely attached to the rest of skull.

And he likely had a very bad experience with the surgery, hence why he doesn’t really go back for any clean up with his teeth(he’s still missing some.)

And the inherent masculinity associated with it and themselves.

Like I love the general idea about ghost is not the gender he/she was born and doing 'the bare minimum' (I don't think there is such a thing nor do I think ghost would think of it/whatever gender affirming action taken that way) and being able to be content in that way. Whether it be a transmasc ghost never getting top surgery and passing or a transfem ghost never getting any kind of surgery( top, bottom or even facial) and maybe never even becoming ‘passing’ being centent as a woman. Being content with the things being important to ghost and ghost alone. Whether that be anywhere from wearing a sports bra or painting her nail black or simply being acknowledged by the few people she cares about.

Ghost and the never ending reminder that you have to do everything or even anything to ‘count’ as the gender you identify with.<3

(I’m also just a sucker for when people either make her identify with the name ghost to the point where that’s just her name, or when she does the bare minimum and keeps Simon or just changes her name to Simone bc it’s close. It’s also just a pretty name.)

she would totally beat herself up over not “passing” in the traditional sense, especially with how she’s viewed as this massive, masculine tank and not something more “palatable” and dainty, but i love her being able to find herself in the little things instead..

growing her hair out just enough that it doesn’t itch under the mask but she can still style it into something cute <33
