“Perhaps it is only me she takes issue with then. As if I am the team’s primary consumer of ammunition.” He chuckled lightly, crossed and uncrossed his legs, less a nervous tick, more a bored one. 

     The conversation had decayed into awkward small talk some time ago, but he could hear BLU mercenaries moving about upstairs, and he needed a safe chance to leave. 

     He could kill the Engineers, but during a ceasefire that would mean an awful lot of paperwork. 

     “I’m guessing you’ve heard the locker room chit-chat about our Heavy and our Medic.” Our? Was that a giveaway? He was overthinking things. 

            HE couldn’t help but laugh at the attempt to make conversation. Spending too much time in the other base had worn off on the spy... Or it was a RED spy. Which wasn’t a very comforting thought. At all.

            THE engineer couldn’t let that show, however, as it might increase the chance of a knife in his back. Instead, he just had to live and let live. Hell, the spy might even leave. It was after hours, and there’s be no real advantage to killing him right now. So all he had to do now was keep up with conversation. He could do that.
