My name is Bethany Buck, but friends calls me Bee. I am located in one of the most amazing places on Earth; Louisville, Kentucky. I have had a passion for photography from the moment I had the strength to hold a camera. My journey to becoming a professional photographer started when I was asked by my sister to photograph an engagement session. I have a special affinity for equine photography and the bulk of my work comes from weddings, couples, families and individuals. I have also been published in Business First and also used by Louisville City FC. When I am not behind the lens you can find me spending time with my Australian Shepherds, Zeek and Riley, and my horse, Gumdrop. I am also involved with Liverpool FC Kentucky and volunteer for the Kentucky Derby Festival. Besides being in love with the beautiful, rolling hills of Kentucky, I am also in love with the beaches of Kiawah Island and the amazing country of England. Please feel free to drop me an email! Blackacre State Nature Preserve - Louisville, Kentucky - Jordan and JD

They lived in the same building in one of the most beautiful areas of Louisville. This area lends itself to so many romantic backdrops, it’s not surprising that JD and Jordan found love in the backyard of an Old Louisville home. After a few chats they began dating and continued on for four years. JD caught Jordan completely by surprise as they walked her father’s Grayson County farm. JD carved into an old tree “Marry Me?”. How perfect this proposal was for a couple that loves the beautiful outdoors.

We had their engagement session at Blackacre State Nature Preserve. Blackacre has many country settings which made JD and Jordan feel at home. We couldn’t have asked for better weather that night and also we were gifted with a fantastic sunset. JD, thank you for thinking of me, allowing me to meet your beautiful future wife, and giving me the opportunity to capture the love that you both share. Jordan, you are absolutely lovely! I cannot wait to get to know you better! I am looking forward to documenting your wedding in May!
