You can see the movement starting. The tree trunk off the left will be same texture of above right tree, you see it broke off in violent Montana wind storm and landed in the water. Kids love looking and feeling this mantle, you see their minds start working.

Greetings!

This is the trout mantle put together for the first time, it's about 40% complete. I added more shots to the photo file. I'll be asking $2400 for it when its complete. I'll be detailing it out for the remainder of time and a pine stain , unless I get a deposit and the owner wants their own color. The trouts belly's will be stained red regardless, like real cutthroat trout. The corbels will be attached according to hearth opening.

This is the one hundred year old ship mallet I use and the ( unfortunately broken) chisel. Right now I'm working on the Bitterroot Fish Mantle, the piece pictured is the top part. It'll be in memory of Walter Jankunas, who loved fishing on the Bitterroot river, in Hamilton Montana.

It's the sketch for the next mantle i'll be carving. It WILL BE FOR SALE. This is a Layout sketch to scale. Im making it about 2 inches deep. When your at 30 ft. away it's going to pull you in and you'll be seeing it evolve until 12 inches away. Shadows and movement, move around the room to feel its depth.
