What on earth do you wear to a wedding?

I've just found out I've been invited to my boyfriends friends wedding (two people I've met once...) and it's this weekend, and I'm stressed because I don't know what to wear or if I even own anything appropriate to wear to a wedding... the only weddings I've been to as an adult were my sisters' weddings, and I was a bridesmaid at both, so I've never had to figure out what you're meant to wear to a wedding 😬

Db bench press: 1x15 12kg / 1x5 @ 16kg

Bench press: 1x5 @ 20kg / 4x6 @ 25kg 💪🏻

Incline bench press: 3x8 1x6 @ 18kg ⬆️

Bent over row: 4x8 @ 17.5kg ⬆️

Overhead press: 3x8 @ 12.5kg 💪🏻

Lat pulldown: 3x10 @ 20.3kg 💪🏻

Bicep curl*: 2x10 @ 12kg ⬆️

Skullcrusher*: 2x10 @ 8kg ⬆️

*superset. 30 sec rest after set of bicep curls, then a 2 min rest after a set of skullcrushers, then repeat.

⬆️ = weight up from last time / 💪🏻 = more reps at that weight than last time

My hamstrings have been so tight the past week or so since my last leg day, so a proper warm-up before my workout and a good stretch after my workout were needed today. I need to get better at stretching after my workouts.

Someone had left 70kg in plates on the barbell when I went to do bench press, but a random man offered to help me unload it before I used it when ye saw me taking the plates off, which was really nice of him 😊

Squats: 1x15 @ 20kg / 1x5 @ 27.5kg / 1x3 @ 30kg (warm ups) / 4x6 @ 40kg

Romanian deadlifts: 4x8 @ 30kg

Calf extensions: 1x12 @ 32kg / 2x12 @ 25kg

Lying leg curl: 2x12 1x10 @ 18kg

Another good workout today! My head wasn't in it for my squats, but after those were done, I loved it

Bench press: 1x6 @ 20kg (warm up) / 2x6 @ 27.5kg / 2x6 @ 25kg

Lowered the weight for sets 3 and 4 to 25kg because my form felt off at 27.5kg

Incline bench press: 4x8 @ 16kg

Bent over rows: 4x8 @ 15kg

Low weight to work on my form because it never feels right

Barbell overhead press: 1x8 @ 17.5kg / 2x8 @ 12.5kg

Lat pulldown: 1x10 @ 18kg / 1x10 @ 20.3kg / 1x10 @ 22.6kg

Bicep curls*: 2x10 @ 10kg

Skull crusher*: 1x8 @ 10kg / 1x10 @ 5kg

*superset. One set of bicep curls, 30 sec rest, one set of skull crusher, 2 min rest, repeat.

I haven't done a full upper body or lower body workout in a whiiiile, but I really enjoyed today's workout 💪🏻☺️

I keep saying that I need to get back into a routine for the gym, but it turns out balancing the gym with a new relationship on top of everything else is more difficult than I thought it would be. Mainly because my bf and I are on different schedules because he works nightshifts and is either working or sleeping, and never in any set schedule of shifts/days off, so when we get time to see each other, I've been prioritising that over the gym. 😅

So, for the time being, it's a case of when I can get there, I'm going, I'm trying my best to be as consistent as possible both with workouts and eating well, but I'm also working on not being so hard on myself if I'm not as great at it as I was prior to getting into this relationship while I figure it out.

Progress of my squats since last year too. The first clip was 37.5kg, and the other two were both 40kg.

Again, my form feels so much better, I've put so much work into it and finding what works for me.
