Two kids: “What does he help her with?”

Mom: “That’s her business. Your business is to not distract him so he can work.”

I was really confused at first, too. I was like “Am I just hella dyke and hella depressed or is it possible that I was actually born in the wrong body?”

And what really did it for me, was I talked to my partner a lot and we tried out gender-affirming pronouns and names and terms of endearment and I was so so comfortable and I felt so safe and happy when those words were used rather than others.

So I started going to gender therapy and my therapist really helped me sort through my identity and together, he helped me really solidify my identity.

And then I started testosterone. And I took it week by week. And every single week/month when I looked back on who I was pre-T I saw how happy I was becoming and I just knew.

And then to help my transition, I just recently had top surgery. And oh my God it was the best decision ever.

You’re going to have take things slowly at first. No one except can tell you you’re trans or not. It was a hard and gradual realization for me.
