where: the ministry closed: @notdelicatc ; estelle
The Ministry was the least likely place for him, and he tried to not let it become a habit of visiting. Even on his day off it was the last place he wanted to be at, but Clyde asked for some papers from the estate and only Beck was able to get through the wards. He took the lift up to the Minister's office silently with the files. It annoyed him briefly when he didn't see his brother at first, but then he saw her. It had been a couple of months, but it felt like only a few days since Beck saw Estelle last. They had felt like long, terrible hours because he felt every single one of them. Beck hadn't heard what she had been up to, which could be a good thing. He only hoped she didn't know about how he spent his time since the last time he saw her. Suddenly, he felt a twitch of guilt in his stomach. "What are you doing here?" he asked, finally breaking the surface. The last he knew was that she worked with the Transportation Department. "I'm looking for Clyde."
