ābored, again?ā charlie grinned, as his husband swept into his office. he was halfway through grading midterms, and heād been anticipating lumi showing up the second that he ran out of things to do in town. it was a common occurrence, though it had happened a little less since the people from pastoral city had arrived. the thought of the city dragged charlie down just a bit, he still offered a small smile,Ā āwhatād you do today? itās got to be more interesting than the⦠ninth paper on normandy iāve read in the last twenty minutes.āĀ
he returned the bright smile without a second thought, happy to see charlie after a ( long, exhausting, arduous ) day without him.Ā āterribly bored! and very lonely. iām in desperate need of company.ā he collapsed into one of the chairs at charlieās desk, taking a moment to just... observe. he liked looking at charlie; in fact, it was one of his favorite activities.Ā āletās see... i got groceries, and i had lunch at mccreaās, and i was thinking about going to the conservatory, but then i decided i wanted to see you, so i came here.ā

Jane gave the other a half hearted smirk, she knew he was right, it wasnāt that she thought she could do these thing son her own, she was always just too shy to ask for help. Not to mention far too stubborn to give into using plastic or paper bags, if she forgot her reusable ones it was on her to figure it out.Ā āI would love some helpā her words fell out with a sigh as she shrugged off some garland and string lights.Ā āHonestly, I probably should have done what you did, start small and add throughout the months.ā Looking at everything she had she shrugged,Ā āwho am I kidding, Iām still going to add more throughout the months.ā
his smile brightened immediately and he took what he was offered without a second thought, more than happy to help.Ā he waved a hand once heād shouldered some of the decorations.Ā āoh! iām hardly starting small. iāve got plenty of decorations at home already, this is just... extra. one can never have too many christmas decorations!ā he chuckled, nodded.Ā āiām glad someoneĀ gets it. if every surface isnāt covered in lights, what, exactly, is the point?ā the more decorations he had, the more festive he felt.Ā āokay, important question: real tree or fake tree?ā

There was something instantly captivating about the Anderson observatory that caused Sally to gravitate towards it. Maybe it was the scientific vibe that the building gave off that reminded her of home in a strange way or her fascination with the stars, but Sally found herself making her way up the mountain and stopping at the top to take in the view of her new home. She wasnāt worried, relying a bit on her visions to guide her that there was no danger being up there as the day turned to dusk. Hearing the footsteps of someone behind her, Sally turned to face her company.Ā āThe view is breathtaking, isnāt it?ā // @fantasiafallsstartersĀ·
āit is!ā he was excited to see someone up here, and someone new, at that. heād never seen this woman before, and that made it all the better. he made the trek up to the conservatory less frequently these days, with a full-time job and a husband to occupy his time. still, he found the time when he could, as happened to be the case today.Ā āyouāre new,ā he said, and it wasnāt a question.Ā āfrom pastoral city?ā not that there were newcomers from anywhere else.Ā āiām beauden, by the way. but you can call me beau! everyone does.ā
@rcmantisizedā
āmarlena!ā he was practically bouncing on the balls of his feet as his friend walked up the drive, excitement bubbling over on his face and in his body language.Ā āiāve sequestered charlie in his office for the night, so weāll be uninterrupted.ā heād missed their wine nights, and had found that as they got older, they had become a little less frequent. but there was no time like the present to start doing them with regularity again, so heād invited her over and, just as heād said, sequestered charlie in his office to occupy himself with work.Ā āi got the cheapest wine i could find, so itāll be just like the good old days.ā

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā PEOPLE WOULD PROBABLY say that eavesdropping was not exactly polite or a decent thing to do. but when someone was talking so loudly, about a matter that was highly amusing to him ( unnecessary drama, so it seemed, but werenāt those types of conversations the most fun to keep up with ? ), one simply could not not listen. right ? the man brought his cup of coffee to his lips in an attempt to hide the obvious smile that was growing on his features. he barely managed to keep a chuckle from escaping his throat⦠and as the conversation was coming to a climax ( the man clearly was anything but innocent ā the bastard had cheated on his boyfriend and to be quite honest, he was completely screwed because there was proof ) the seat across of him at the small table at kikiās coffee hut was pulled back, and flynnās attention got diverted.Ā ā excuse me, who said that seat isnāt taken ?Ā ā, the man spoke quickly, fixing his eyes back on the fighting couple at the table next to them. he did not want to miss a second, and he would not have some unexpected company ruin it for him. { @fantasiafallsstartersĀ· }
there was a scene. and where there was a scene, beau was rarely far behind. heād ducked into the coffee shop with every intention of going in and out: heād pick up coffees for himself and charlie, stop by the university on his way home, pay charlie a quick visit, and then head back to get ready for work. a loud argument, though, attracted his attention. and, unfortunately for charlie, that loud argument was far more interesting than beauās previous plan. with a quick glance around the coffee shop, he noticed a man ( unfamiliar, he noted, with only served to draw beau in even further ) seated alone. perfect. beau forewent his coffee and b-lined over to the strangerās table, taking a seat in the unoccupied chair with the express purpose of doing what he was doing: eavesdropping. at the question, though, he startled. he hadnāt been expecting hostility!Ā āuh - i did! when i sat here. i just wanted to -ā and then he was nodding ( very conspicuously ) toward the argument at the next table.Ā āonce they get tired of each other iāll be out of your hair.ā

location: atlantica harbor
time: early afternoon
jim spent most of his time along rhapsody beach. it made sense, considering he lived and worked there at the benbow inn with his mother. but even if that werenāt the case, heād always had an affinity for the sea. he was particularly interested the boats that lined the atlantica harbor, which is where jim found himself today. jim always had a taste for adventure and had dreamed of someday sailing out to explore what lie beyond the island. heād spent hours listening to the sailors who came in and out of the benbow tell tales of their life at sea and had always been fascinated as a young boy. jim was sat on the dock, his bare feet in the water as he soaked up some sun and watched curiously as some sailors just down the harbor secured a sailboat. he was so lost in his own daydreams that he hadnāt noticed someone had joined him on the docks.
āis this seat taken?ā he liked to come to the docks sometimes, to write. sure enough, he had a notebook and pencil in one hand, though that would soon be forgotten about, he suspected. company was often far more interesting than anything he could write down. he didnāt wait for an answer before taking a seat beside the boy, cross-legged and looking out over the water.Ā ājim, right?ā beau knew most everyone from rome pines, for better or for worse, and so he recognized, at least distantly, the man he was now sitting next to. his eyes drifted out over the water, catching and lingering on the men that were working on the sailboat.Ā āso, what do you like most about the docks? is it the stinkeye you get from the sailors if you get in their way, or the lingering smell of fish?ā

Ā Having forgotten he reusable bags and refusing to contribute to the worldās pollution crisis by using plastic bags Jane walked out of the store covered in garland, Christmas lights, ribbons and fake snow. As she walked to her car an ornament fell from the box, splintering on the sidewalk. Letting out a breath of air to blow away her lose strands of hair Jane looked down at the shards of class at her feet.Ā āWell, at least it was only one.ā As if on cue the rest of the ornaments fell from the box, the sound of shattering glass causing her to look up at the sky,Ā āwhy?ā Jane asked no one in particular,Ā āis this what I get for trying to spread some Holiday cheer a little early?ā
heād been about to offer some assistance when all the ornaments fell, and suddenly beau was left standing with a hand outstretched and his shoulders drawn tight, obviously sympathetic to her plight.Ā āno,ā he said, in response to the question.Ā ābut i think it might be what you get for trying to carry so many things on your own.ā he flashed a smile, signaling that the comment was all in jest.Ā āneed a little help? iāve just got some of my own decorations -ā he held up the bag in his left hand, ā- but iām sure i could spare a hand, if you need one.ā

sometimes simple things like time were lost on 626.Ā he was so used to having his day completely mapped out for him, with something to do at a specific time nearly always.Ā now, he had to work and live and being thrown into everything was overwhelming for him.Ā of course, being late was no big deal to most but with his emotions all over the place, 626 was taking it harder than anticipated.Ā he was making his way home, earlier scolding still fresh in his brain and with almost a knee-jerk he smacked a fist into a nearby bench, breaking it in half and drawing a lot of attention from those around him.Ā some people backed away and some got closer but the whole situation spooked him, leaving him to ( his version ofĀ ) gentlyĀ push by them and run down an alley, taking a moment to bend down and try to regain his composure before he heard footsteps coming his way.Ā Ā āi didnāt mean to!,ā the man exclaimed, standing back up, fear clearly written on his face.Ā ( @fantasiafallsstartersĀ·Ā· )
the source of the commotion was obvious: one of the newcomers. beau could see it in an instant, the way everyone looked at the poor guy, and certainly the way it caused panic in both the crowd around them andĀ in the stranger himself. and, well, beau had never been one for leaving well enough alone, so he followed without much of a second thought. he stopped in his tracks when the stranger addressed him, not wanting to spook him any further.Ā āhey, itās okay.ā it was the tone he used whenever charlie got nervous; soft and placating.Ā āit was just an accident, right? thatās perfectly understandable. i just wanted to make sure that youāre alright. you didnāt hurt yourself, did you?ā
( dev patel, cis male, he/him )ā° ā§ Ė ā magic is in the air ! oh wait - thatās just my old friend, BEAUDEN LUMIĆRE JOLY, the THIRTY year old MAĆTRE D'. theyāve lived in rome pines for ages, so everyone knows that theyāre CHARMING and OVERDRAMATIC, just like LUMIERE from BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. they may not have any magic in them, but the neighborhood sure knows them from their WARM SMILE AND DEBONAIR STYLE. apparently, they are EXCITED about meeting these magical citizens from pastoral city, so letās just hope they will get along with their new neighborsā¦āĖ ā®

āI love him. But we have all known that for some time ā havenāt we? ā I shall love him always. He is something to me that nobody else is.ā
