This came out of the kiln recently! I have been so frustrated with these lately, struggling as always to figure out my final surface treatments. This pleasant and joyous surprise is not mine alone, and I have to thank my wonderful little consultants ( D + K ) for all of their listening, patience, and constructive feedback. A vase I made my second semester of throwing. The glaze didn't reduce and actually "crawled" on the left rim area, exposing the clay beneath. It was disappointing but I held on to it because it was one of my first well thrown pots. Now it's a planter for my little buddy here and I love seeing them every time I'm in my room. Plants make me so happy.
