God damn. What was up with this place? It was bad enough last time, now she was gonna hurl every time she used her powers too? Bullshit. She didn’t see them as too much, the Pariahs, yet she still had to flee from her last encounter.
And in her annoyance she’d flown too high, and her wings were protesting further use. And that really pissed her off; ain’t none messing with her sovereignty of the skies. None.
So she’d been forced into a glide lest she just plummet unceremoniously into the asphalt below. And… Fuck. Those things were down there. Plenty of those things. Shit shit shit. Okay, too low down now to make it onto any rooftops, uhhh, uuuuuhhhhhh.
There! If she had one thing that was sharp about her, it was her eyesight. Turning a little, she lined her trajectory up with a mostly smashed window, hopefully she’d gliiiide, riiiiight, in-
She stood up on the other side of the entirely smashed window, dusted herself off and caught sight of a surging mob heading for her landing site. Nope.
The raven twisted round and scarpered into the building, no particular goal in sight. She slid round a corner and was met with something that certainly wasn’t one of those Pariahs.
That headless body on the floor though, that was. Her eyes flicked back and forth between the body and this person. Human? Yeah probably. Bit older than the ones she was used to seeing by the looks of him. So he killed it? Not bad, better than a lot of the scattering sheep she’d seen. But what really captivated her attention, was his face. She didn’t see nearly enough facial hair.
She nodded towards the corpse “You do that, huh? Not bad, nice hammer I guess.” Maybe he’d tell her about his beard, man, that would be cool. Her mind was swimming with the possibilities of forbidden beard lore.
Hmm. Had she forgotten about something? What had she been doing… Oh well!
"So whaddya doin’ in here?"
