Squirtle Thoughts

(Self reminder bit!) I buried it in a rot pot/container yesterday, May 5.

I’m technically not supposed to have brought it in my house... but.. I think it’s a bit too late to follow that rule. I really wish I had cut off and mummified the wings, but I’m too much of a beginner to even think of cutting off bird wings. (Maybe someday I’ll have the courage...) I’ll have to try that with my next find since I buried the entire bird! (I just want the skull but can not fathom the thought of cutting off a bird’s head)

Anyways, this is my first one. Tomorrow will be the first full week the bird has been buried! Hooray...? My room has smelled... off... but other than that it’s doing alright! I spray some essential oils here and there to cover up the smell, but it’s not that’s bad either way.

I’m getting an actual flower pot to put the garden in (and secretly the bird eheh), because the pot won’t drain out any water with the plastic container because there isn’t any way to get the water out. I have a slight feeling that with the hole in the flower pot for drainage there might be a little more of a smell.... :-(

The plants are thriving though! I don’t know how they survived the over watering. I’m thinking of starting a separate blog for my vulture culture stuff, so that’ll be an adventure.
