My outfit felt very character-y today so I thought I’d do a lil drawing of it!
Alas, my phone well and truly broke so I wasn’t able to post for a while - so the challenge is over! I was so close to 100 😭 ah, well. I learnt so much! I may do it again one day, but it was actually starting to make me a bit stressed and that’s not what I want to feel around my art 😝

Day 97, a new sketchbook! I finished my last small square sketchbook in September, and only just got my new one (I have others that I also use, but this size is my favourite because it can come with me everywhere). Today's drawing is a little bird skull on the cover. Alas, I made him forehead too big and he looks like tweetybird. 🐥

i legitimately think Christmas music should be regulated. actually i think all radio music should be regulated for the saje of employees everywhere and I'm not joking
there should be designated stations that play the top 10 over and over, for people driving short distances, and designated stations that cannot play the same song more than twice in a 24 hour period, for people working in retail and fast food. and it should be a punishable labor violation for any manager to play a top 10 station for more than an hour in the workplace.

Day 89, a lil line drawing that's going to be part of a bigger piece about the Technology Reset I've heard about that's starting in the new year!
There will be a big return to pre-2020s memes, people going back to flipphones, and older video games that promoted patience and slow reward above gambling and quick dopamine. Don't get me wrong I do love some brainrot, and think it has its place, but making an effort to switch the ratios would be so good. Having more analogue, more slow fun, makes the day feel longer and makes the brain feel healthier.
I will definitely be doing my best to take part, heavily considering getting an old flipphone to have with me all the time and leaving my smartphone at home, keeping it in the same room so I have to go in there to use it. Like how we used to have a "computer room". Then making sure I've got my juggling balls, a fidget, or a book with me for if I get bored or have some time to chill while I'm out and about. I think it's gonna be goooo
Anyway, the full piece is gonna have lots of lovely analogue things, and technology from when technology was fun and weird rather than creepy and designed to give you constant psychic damage

Well, lads... It's official - I biffed it!
My ipad being basically out of commission really threw me off my groove, broke my routine, and yesterday I DIDN'T DRAW ANYTHING AT ALL. Breaking my *checks notes* 84 day streak 😭💔
BUT, I think I'm going to carry on as though that hadn't happened, because if I get to day 365 with the knowledge that I missed one day (hopefully not any more!) that's still an awesome achievement. Doing this challenge so far has done SO MUCH for my relationship with my art, it has been truly incredible and I don't want to stop.

Day 84, a very silly little portal piece. My ipad currently takes 4 days to charge up to 70% and loses it all in about an hour and a half's worth of use, so I don't know when I'm going to be able to finish this one 🥲
