“Bea!” Hugo called from the side of the road, his car door open as he spotted the dark haired girl looking rather on the soggy side. “Bea- come on, I’ll give you a ride, it’ll be better then walking out here in this weather. Pretty sure I just heard thunder as well.”

It had been a rough day, and though having to walk in the rain certainly hadn’t made it better and Bea was grateful for an out, there was something almost frustrating about it being Hugo who was offering help. Still, not one to show it, Beatrice nodded and entered the car without protest, hugging herself as soon as the door was closed and she was buckled in. She offered the blond a gentle smile. “Thank you,” she said, shivering slightly. “Sorry to be… dripping on the upholstery.”

💅 our muses have a self care day together 

“I really try not to let vanity get the best of me, but you know what- I look good.” Mal commented, checking out her reflection in the mirror as she examined the work that she had done. “Not quite as good as Dizzy’s work, but it’s not bad-.. you look great too, we should treat ourselves more often.” She smiled, turning to look at the other.

“We do and we should,” Bea agreed, grinning at her soon-to-be sister-in-law. “And next time I won’t forget the sparkle face mask. I know it sounds a bit over the top, but I swear it leaves you glowing.” She leaned an elbow on the counter and tilted her head as she looked at the other girl. “So? Do you feel relaxed?” she asked, feeling herself less tense than she had in months.

🌲 – our muses go on a hike / explore the forest together 

“While I told you I needed to get my steps in, this isn’t exactly what I had in mind,” Athena admitted as she trekked up after Bea. “I prefer a treadmill. There’s less bugs in the gym,” she complained, swatting a mosquito away as she spoke.

💅 – our muses have a self care day together 

“I’ve never been invited to this kind of spa trip before,” Ainsley admitted. “Mam isn’t big on makeup ‘n things like that so I guess I don’t give it too much thought myself,” she added as they sat down in the chairs. “How about ye? Do ya do this often?”

Judging by how much harder Bea was breathing, she and Dante seemed to be approaching the top of the small mountain they were hiking, and boy was she relieved. The walking and climbing didn’t bother her a bit, but the rocks and sticks and mud she had to avoid were starting to get to her. “Man, I hope this view is as good as you made it sound,” she told him, walking across a log.

Upon finding a pair of tiny black kittens stuck in a curb-side storm drain, there wasn’t much Bea could think to do but reach her hand in and pull the poor things out. And so, after approximately five minutes, she had them both out — the second one in her arms, the first having been handed to Magnolia during the process. She gently rubbed the second’s head with her similarly-disgusting arm. “You know, they’re pretty cute in a slimy sort of way,” she joked.

 “ Bea ! You’ve got to tell me all about your holidays, I’ve missed you ! ” Katherine exclaimed, barely having dragged her luggage back to her dorm before she was off to find her best friend.
