ErdoΔan is the Biggest Liar on the Planet And Everyone Is Silent
Last week, the president of Turkey Recep Tayyip ErdoΔan said, βTurkeyβs history is free from genocide, massacres, oppression, and colonialism... In our thousands of years of glorious history, there is only justice and compassionβ.β
Iβm shocked no one is calling him out on it! Maybe theyβre afraid his nose will become so long it will poke someoneβs eye out.
Even if you ignore the fact the Ottoman Empire was basically a slaver robber empire for almost 800 years, modern Turkey alone is one of the bloodiest nations in history.
Before the creation of the Turkish Republic, roughly 1 in 4 people in Asia Minor were non-Turkish. Afterwards, 99% were Turkish. This was not achieved through justice and compassion!
Between 1915 and 1923, the Turks massacred:Β
1,200,000 million ArmeniansΒ
In 1923, they expelled 1.5 million Greeks, achieving near total racial and religious βpurity.β These are crimes that rival the scale of any genocide or ethnic cleansing in the 20th century.
Now letβs talk about colonialism.Β
Even as we speak, Turkey is engaged in two large colonial projects; they are ethnically cleansing Kurds from Syria and Greeks from Cyprus, and replace them with Muslim settlers.Β
The Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974 displaced as many 200,000 Greeks. About 120,000 Turkish settlers have since moved into their home. If thatβs not colonialism, I donβt what is!
More recently, the Turkish invasion to Syria in 2018 displaced as many as 200,000 indigenous Kurds from the Afrin District. Almost 500,000 Arab settlers moved into their homes under Turkish guidance and protection. Tens of thousands of them are Palestinian Arabs, who are literally moving into stolen Kurdish homes.Β
Massacres, oppressions, and colonialism all rolled into a single operation that somehow got totally ignored by the media. How efficient of the noble Turks!
Western leaders and the media are beyond pathetic for allowing the Turkish sultan to spew these lies without any pushback. And donβt get me started on my own government!Β
The Turkish government is colluding with the Palestinians to ethnically cleanse native people and engage in massive colonization of their land and yet not a single word from the crafty βHasbaraβ agents. The irony alone makes this story journalistic gold.
Ignorance is the strongest weapon of evil and the Western elites are making sure evil remains well-armed. Where are the marches for Kurdistan? Where are the flotillas for the Greeksβ right of return? Where are the academic books and papers about Turkish settler-colonialism or whatever term is fashionable in the academia right now?
Absolute, total silence. Everyone is complicit.
So, if the suits and the bigheads wonβt fight back against the lies, then I will.Β
