Process post for Project 2. This is a work in progress of the sketch of our product.

Here is a infographic of the severity of global hunger. I wanted to post the picture, but I was not able to so instead I had to post the link. This was what sparked my idea in the first place. It is sad that there is so many people who are hungry. That is why I wanted to make my design brief on something I found interesting, but also helpful to others.

Empathy to me is putting myself in someone else's shoes. For me this is hard to do in the heat of a moment. For my project it was easier to try and think about people in situations different than my own and reflect upon that. But then when I was hanging out with some strangers they were being considerate of other people and other people's feelings. This got me heated, and I forgot to remember I do not know their background on why they are acting like they were.  I believe having the ability to have empathy to others in the spur on the moment is a wonderful skill everyone should practice.

Where do I work best? Well I can tell you where I do not work the best. It is on the dam Megabus. Here I am cruising in a sauna going 40 mph. You would imagine in the winter it wouldn't be too bad. But with the lack of proper ventilation for 9 hours and I am sweating just writing this. I definitely can not read for longer than 15 minutes before all the shaking and bumping gets me not feeling too well. I think studying in a dark cave or maybe Antarctica would be better than this death machine. It could be worse I could be in jail. Oh well.

At what point are we too old to play? When should we leave our toys behind for a briefcase? Well, according to Barry, we should always remain playful. Play keeps the mind open to ideas. I find this line of thought hard to apply to my life. My schedule is kind of busy, I know of people with busier schedules and I know of people who have easier schedules. It just seems like I no longer have the time to do what I use to as a child. As a child I use to always run around causing mayhem. Everything I could get my hands on could be a toy with the right mind set. All of this play opened up my imagination to endless possibilities. But school got harder, it required more of my time. I needed to work hard and lost play time to gain more knowledge. It is important to have knowledge, to be able to understand a magnitude of concepts. Play time never gave me this knowledge. Sometimes I try to play like I use to, but I am no longer a child anymore. That is okay I have plenty of time left to work hard and play harder.

Creativity is a nice skill to have. You can use it to BS your way through tough obstacles. With creativity, the options should be endless for getting around any problems. It even can keep you entertained when you have nothing to do. Just like any other skill creativity can be practiced. It is very possible to hone to abilities of creativity and you don’t need anything besides your brain. I for one have a small amount of creativity. I got a 42% on the creativity test. I should probably be more creative as an engineer so I can help solve all of the world’s problems, or maybe I will just work a nine to five job and not ever concern myself with thinking about what everything could be.
