Imagine you are Jared Padalecki you’ve just come off the cute show about women and are going to be a co-lead in an occult like tv show. You go to film the pilot episode where you are then told they are going to put you in a room and proceed to set it on fire. Imagine you are Jensen Ackles being told your job is to wait for the cue and proceed to run in and grab him. Imagine you are both of them when the episode after the two of you get jumped outside a bar during filming your entire team informs you will be put in a room with 60,000 bees without gear. You also survive this only to be told they didn’t show up on camera and they used cgi anyways. You use umbrellas once in the rain, you are told you will never be allowed to use them again cause you both look “too gay.”

so technically there’s the huntercorps sam and dean roaming around in the main universe and it’d be hilarious if someone sees them and is like “hey aren’t you the Winchester brothers who are convicted of multiple crimes like grave desecration and murder” and they’re just like “excuse me what???”

also i never actually remember that the nick plotline even happened but since it did why was it not entirely about sam. who gives a shit about nick as his own character.

how do you write an arc about lucifer’s decayed and rotten vessel who has an unhealthy attachment to him walking around with what might as well be the devils face and only have like one line about the tension between him and sam. the jealousy over the true vessel thing alone is a gold mine. nick is a walking opportunity to let sam actually process something to do with lucifer and yet. and yet.

im in the process of thinking more abt john winchester and so far, my most concrete thought, is that learning to parallel park from him must have been a psychological nightmare

The thing about Sam is that he’s a nice young man, and a cannibal, and a teachers pet, and he has an off-and-on-relationship with reality, and he wants soooo badly not to scare people, and his moral compass goes out the window the second his brother is in danger, and he’s better/worse than his family but fundamentally he’s not the same as them, and he’s everything/nothing like his father, and religious, and he shoots God, and also he’s scared of clowns <3

I love the idea that Sam always wins at rock paper scissors, yes, because Dean is a little predictable, but also because the foresight he got off Azazel comes out in little ways. Dean has stopped letting Sam call coin-tosses because he gets it right wayyyy too much of the time. Grand-standing, uncontested champion of Snap. Always knew which raindrop to bet on during car-rides. Psychic in several deeply useless ways
