Pia Giancaro in The Lady in Red Kills Seven Times (1972)
Daniella By Night (1961) starring Elke Sommer
Clothilde “Fallait Pas Ècraser La Queue Du Chat”
AMAZING psychedelic French pop from 1967. Just awe-inspiring. Her real name was Elizabeth Beauvais. She only recorded two discs in 1967 with music by Germinal Tenas and lyrics by Jean-Yves Gaillac.
This particular cut is rather tongue-in-cheek and slightly morbid. The title translates in English to “Should Not Crush The Cat’s Tail”.
I love the arrangements. Like a slightly off-kilter Move with lovely female vocals in a language I can’t understand. One of these days I’m learning to speak French.
I do adore this song. Immensely <3

“You’ll share every kiss! Every tear!”
For some reason comic collectors never hoarded romance comics the same way they did Spider-Man and Batman books. Shame too as these fucking things are weird. Pretty sure a bunch of old guys distilling advice to pre-teen girls on love and relationships wasn’t the best idea ever. A lot of these are hard to find in high grade condition and a large number of them feature great art by comic artists more well known for other things. Case in point: that cover for Our Love Story #4 by Spider-Man artist John Romita. But as far as 60′s and 70′s romance comics go DC’s are far weirder than Marvel’s. Sometimes they just seem...well, wrong. Why would you market stories about cheating husbands and women of loose morals to pre-pubescent girls? Who wrote those fucking things? (Murray Boltinoff? Robert Kanigher?) And how fucked up is that Nick Cardy cover for Girls’ Romances #153? And how dope is that Nick Cardy cover for #144? Cool buzz.
Ed Valigursky’s painting for the 1955 paperback edition of Philip K. Dick’s “The Solar Lottery” (Ace Paperbacks)
Original Dan DeCarlo art for Archie’s Christmas Stocking #1 1993 AKA Archie’s Christmas Threeway.
Vintage Coca-Cola advertisement. Date and model unknown. I feel Coke is imploring me to steal. And steal often.
Absolutely have posted before but you can never go wrong with these Wil Hulsey covers for Man’s Life!

Hot damn. Victoria Principal in “Earthquake” (1974). She fucking rocks.
Jane Fonda, Cavalier Magazine, 1962.
Oh this might be a higher quality scan than the one I have. That damn issue of Cavalier Magazine that eludes me.

Original art by Pete Hawley. Vintage Coca-Cola ads minus all the superfluous hyperbole.
Vintage 7-Up ad from Playboy Magazine in 1964. Back when 7-Up wasn’t afraid to say, “Quit being a pussy and put some vodka in your drink!”
