GOOD / 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐔𝐍𝐄

“ i am a very busy witch with a very selective attention span, you know that too. just say you do not like to listen to people and go on. ”those were times in which he thanked for learning how to channel his magic in so much more than just his innate connections to shadows and fire ━where with a quick tap onto the glowing letters on the lexicon attached to his hip and a swirl of his hands he could bring order where the all too familiar ( pun not intended ) cat had brought havoc, admiring how broken vases returned whole and scattered fabrics back to the walls where they belonged. his head easily turned towards the source of the sneeze, steps so silent that what announced his presence was a harsh knock at the door. “ you should thank i know how to fix my own things and don’t want to meddle with the humane law when i could simply floor you with a lawsuit for business damage. ”

                𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐌𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐓  but   almost   immediately   closed   it   because   well,   his   words   weren’t   completely   untrue.   does   she   like   to   listen   to   people   ?   big   fat   NO.   the   girl   was   still   inside   the   closet,   going   through   the   various   things   that   were   inside   &   making   no   movement   to   exit   the   closet.   she   just   doesn’t   want   to   face   ikyeol’s   wrath   just   yet.   no   matter   how   silent   the   steps   are   if   it   weren’t   for   her   ability   to   hear   the   smallest   of   sound   she   wouldn’t   have   expected   his   presence   so   close   to   the   door.   the   harsh   knock   resonated   around   the   space   she   was   in,   his   words   loud   enough   for   it   to   not   be   muffled   by   the   door.   “   if   you’re   able   to   FIX   it   anyways   then   there’s   no   need   for   you   to   be   mad   everytime   i   BREAK   something   !   if   anything   you   should   thank   me   for   letting   you   not   be   bored   around   here.   ”   with   her   hand   on   the   door   knob   she   slowly   turned   it   around   until   a   click   was   heard,   head   peeking   around   when   the   gap   was   big   enough   to   spot   the   witch.   “   if   i   get   out   of   the   closet   you   promise   you’re   not   gonna   sue   me   ?   i’m   just   a   poor   orphan   girl   living   alone   you   know   !   ”

      *ﾟ+.*.｡ — dae wouldn’t call himself an oblivious person, though he could when he wanted to be. shopping always made it hard for him to focus, clothes and jewelry and other shiny things catching his attention–palms pressed up against the display windows with a wistful sigh. one would think after spending a hundred years in the human realm would help someone learn moderation, but anything cute ( whether it be material or biological ) could snatch dae’s focus in a blink of an eye and whisk him away. he didn’t even register eunseo speaking to him–far too intent on the checking out the shimmery gold cardigan before him–until she was holding his wallet all but under his nose with delicate fingers. dae blinked once, twice, three times before snatching it quickly and turning towards her with a huff. 

     ❝ yah! ❞ fingers all but fumble as he wills them to work to open his wallet, counting the bills left in the fold before going through the various cards of his sugar daddies. all were there and the money counted up, but he still sent eunseo a narrowed gaze. ❝ you can’t try and pickpocket me when i’m shopping, you know that’s not fair! ❞ a pout creases his glossed lips, and dae all but huffs like a child who has yet to get their way. ❝ i thought we said that’s against the rules! ❞

                  𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐄𝐊𝐒 𝐏𝐔𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐃 𝐔𝐏 𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐏𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐊   when   daehyun   snatched   the   wallet   out   of   her   hands   in   lightning   speed   &   accused   her   of   pickpocketing   him.   sure,   it   wouldn’t   be   the   first   time   she’s   done   it.   because   although   the   two   of   them   often   played   games   to   see   who   would   steal   the   most   from   others   (   mainly   the   rich   ones   that   wouldn’t   miss   a   few   fifty   thousands   of   wons   )   there’s   something   about   stealing   from   daehyun   that’s   hilarious   to   her.   obviously,   she’d   give   it   back   if   he   didn’t   notice   it   within   seconds   but   it’s   still   funny   to   her   to   see   him   like   this.   

                    “   what   do   you   MEAN   not   fair   ?   you   just   gotta   pay   more   attention   to   your   surroundings   !   ”   she   returned   his   narrowed   gaze   with   one   of   her   own,   not   letting   herself   be   intimidated   by   him.   although   in   her   opinion   daehyun   is   anything   but   intimidating.   eyes   rolling   at   his   words   eunseo   couldn’t   help   but   groan,   “   rules   are   meant   to   be   broken   dummy   !   that’s   why   there   are   rules   !   ”   her   logica   was   flawed,   she   was   aware   of   that.   “   you   just   gotta   stop   looking   at   those   clothes   so   much,   what   if   i   was   an   actual   thief,   y’know   not   that   i’m   not   one   but   like   an   actual   ACTUAL   one   ?   ”

          it’s in times like this where she tends to tune everything out. the earphones help with that as well. she’s walking back from the nearby cafe, iced americano in hand, when she stops. at first, she doesn’t hear the other girl speak, only registering what happened a moment later. she turns around, taking one earbud out and staring at her wallet in the girl’s hand. “ oh — thank you. ” knowing eunseo, she isn’t sure whether this was unintentional or not. “ that wasn’t intentional, was it? ” she asks as she takes back her wallet, taking a sip from her drink afterwards. 

                 𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐏𝐎𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐓𝐒   after    the    taller    of    the    two    took    the    wallet    from    her    hands.    she    blinked    up    almost    too    innocently    to    be    true,    her    red    tinted    lips    forming    a    pout    at    the    tone    of    the    question.    “    INTENTIONAL    ?    now    why    would    you    think    that    ?    ”    as    if    eunseo    doesn’t    have    a    long    history    of    pickpocketing    from    people    as    a    hobby.    “    i    would    at    least    pick    someone    who    has    a    little    more    heavier    wallet    than    yours.    ”

“ now, what’s the reason behind all this fuss ? ” his lips quipped in a displeased hum as he walked into the main hall of his own atelier, pitch black eyes scanning already the entirety of the room in search of that guilty hand ( or paw, he doesn’t discriminate when it came to idiotic behavior ) who thought it was a good idea to call his attention by messing with the place. a bad idea. “ has no one ever taught you to knock at the door? ”

                   𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐒 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄   for   reasons   she   has   yet   to   uncover,   she   plays   it   off   as   enjoying   to   make   a   mess   of   the   atelier,   because   what   else   could   the   reason   be   ?   certainly   nothing   that   has   to   do   with   the   witch   !   upon   hearing   the   footsteps   of   the   other,   she   carefully   places   a   paw   on   the   vase,   staring   up   at   ikyeol   as   she   pushed   it   off   of   the   table   with   no   h e s i t a t i o n.   eunseo   jumped   off   the   table,   gracefully   landing   on   her   paws,   as   she   slipped   through   ikyeol’s   legs   to   hide   behind   an   open   door   away   from   his   sight.   a   sneeze   was   heard   from   behind   the   door,   a   indication   that   she   transformed   into   her   human   form   again   but   she   makes   no   move   to   open   the   door.   “   yes,   you   have   told   me   a   MILLION   times   already,   but   you   still   come   at   the   sound   of   a   broken   object   so   would   it   make   any   difference?   ”

                                      “   i   think   this   belongs   to   you   ?   ”

✞ –––– the bitter yet sweet aroma of coffee and pastries filled babette’s senses as she entered the familiar surrounds of the local coffee shop. the scent alone brings a look of joy upon her delicate features. with a new skip in her step, she approaches the counter to place her order of a large coffee, two cream, and two splenda,  but as her order was about to be spoken she noticed something from the corner of her eye that drew her attention. “i’ll take two large black coffees, please !” with two coffees in hand baby walked over to the back corner of the coffee shop, “i saw you were alone, so i was wondering if you would like a little company?” with a smile that stretched from cheek to cheek, she extended the black coffee towards the other as an offering of kindness. 

                   𝐓𝐎 𝐍𝐎 𝐎𝐍𝐄'𝐒 𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐄   eunseo   was   at   the   coffeeshop   down   the   street   of   her   work,   she   was   ALONE   but   not   miserable   &   craving   for   human   interaction   (   she’ll   save   that   for   another   day   ).   a   brown   leather   wallet   was   grasped   between   her   thumb   &   forefinger,   ,   definitely   too   old-fashioned   to   be   hers,   contents   already   inspected   &   emptied   save   for   a   couple   of   cards   because   how   else   was   she   able   to   buy   this   extra   large   hot   chocolate   with   extra   whipped   cream   &   extra   everything   ?   not   with   her   poor   excuse   of   a   pay   check   that’s   for   sure   !   “      COMPANY   ,   you   ?   ”   with   eyebrows   raised,   she   side   eyes   the   offered   coffee,      instincts   telling   her   to   n o t   accept   it.   “   &   name   one   good   reason   why   you   would   be   good   company   ?   ”
