The slightest of touch almost made her flinch in surprise, the warmth that she yearned for and yet - was not used to. And as the rosiness in her cheeks crept upon her visage, golden hues wavered as Blake directed her gaze towards their hands. His grasp towering over her dainty digits as they clasp together, interlocking with one another. The feral’s ears twitched and leaned back at how comforting it was, how pleasant it felt. 

It was a reminder, that he was there and that…she was not alone. And with that, the feline could feel herself relax and her shoulders finally drooping from the ever-lasting tension that she always had. Quietly, Blake stole a glance at his profile before going back to looking at her own boots. What else could she do? Her mind was in a blur and her heartbeat, rapid.

Biting on her bottom lip, she mustered the courage to simply squeeze his hand, making their contact firmer. Ah yes, was this what peace felt like? No words to be exchanged and yet, there was an emotion of assurance and love from each another. 

A gentle smile graced upon her soft lips, it was…in truth - an awful nickname. However, it was Ruby; her leader, her treasured comrade, her best friend. She was an exception.There was no one else in the world that could ever replace her and the rest of Team RWBY. And so, with a gentle tone as her golden irises softened at the sight of Ruby, she replied.
