I know you’re not a homemaker blog but you always have good ideas so I thought I’d ask. My room is in the attic so about halfway up my walls pitch and then diagonal. It’s annoying because I can’t really hang things on them except posters. Do you have any ideas for how to decorate or save space in a room like this? I tried to get some of those shelves for diagonal walls from ikea but they quit making them :(

There are some DIY fixes and ways you can make your own slanted shelves! I can’t believe Ikea doesn’t make them anymore. You can find them elsewhere but they’re way more expensive…
Hung properly, these could be interesting.
I do appreciate the dramatic look of it though. It would be interesting to keep it all white on the slant walls and keep your furniture low slung, like this interesting bookshelf or a credenza-like dresser .
I also like the idea of hanging an exposed curtain rod, depending on your space, and putting a capsule wardrobe on it. You could also use this to hang plants like this and make a cute little living wall.
Now that I’m thinking about it, you could probably get away with having something like this on the slanted wall and filling it with a small amount of dirt and a lot of air plants, particularly trailing ones!
you can also really clutter up the straight walls and leave the slanted walls completely open and not have it look overwhelming, i think it balances out well. assorted inspo pix i saved in my attic dwelling days:
Apparently I embraced the slant and just stuck up a bunch of posters (pls ignore anything embarrassing this was my room from 13-15 and 2008-2010 was an unforgiving time lol).
