Another huge crash dump...

realizing i havent been posting all the ninacoco and crash art like i have on twitter since im so so used to and comfortable with twitters formatting.. BUT ITS OKAY I GOT YALL NOW

So far, the rework is way easier to work with and optimized!! 👍

But the rework is not done yet! There is lag everywhere & its prone to crashing due incompatibility between old and new..

Lots of debugging/reworking left to do, but great process has already been made!!

Remade the player warper for this new rebuild!! Also the player swapper now hands your momentum over to the next character so you aren't immidially sucked to the floor like the pre-rework build!

The result feels WAY more clean (and stable)!! ^-^

Added some basic CPU functions so that character swapping will now cause the character to actually obey the laws of gravity!

Even Charge now adheres to the natural order now!

After some more coding, I managed to get the game to boot, load the characters, and the stage! I also improved the camera even more, AND added a new pause menu that looks waaay better!

Still work in progress, but I think it ooks pretty cool already!! ^-^

EXTREMELY work in process but as you can see, the camera system is getting WAAAY better!!

The camera will now smoothly follow after BB-1 like good platformers do!

There are still obvious issues (I feel the camera should be more distanced and movement behavior lacking).

Turns out managing multiple projects with both having people semi eager about is hard! In other news! Here is the new character controller so far! Its programmed in a way that makes more sense to me, and is WAAAAY cleaner!

When it comes down to the platformer I made some early whoopsies that send it into dev hell. And there is some really cool stuff in there that I want to salvage..

This means Im essentially trying to fix my code step by tiny baby step. Gamedev is hard lol

Hi, I have been gone for a while. The platformer's debugging needed some more debugging cuz frankly the print system rn is a total mess. This made one type take months to solve.

While I been working on that, I did some additional practice with a gamejam. Im not very proud of it rn but Im working on patching this. Some people do like it though, so feel free to give it a go. (webversion broken)
