There’s a protest going on against AI art over on artstation, so I feel like now is the time for me to make a statement on this issue!
I wholeheartedly support the ongoing protest against AI art. Why? Because my artwork is included in the datasets used to train these image generators without my consent. I get zero compensation for the use of my art, even though these image generators cost money to use, and are a commercial product.
Musicians are not being treated the same way. Stability has a music generator that only uses royalty free music in their dataset. Their words: “Because diffusion models are prone to memorization and overfitting, releasing a model trained on copyrighted data could potentially result in legal issues.” Why is the work of visual artists being treated differently?
Many have compared image generators to human artists seeking out inspiration. Those two are not the same. My art is literally being fed into these generators through the datasets, and spat back out of a program that has no inherent sense of what is respectful to artists. As long as my art is literally integrated into the system used to create the images, it is commercial use of my art without my consent.
Until there is an ethically sourced database that compensates artists for the use of their images, I am against AI art. I also think platforms should do everything they can to prevent scraping of their content for these databases.
Artists, speak out against this predatory practice! Our art should not be exploited without our consent, and we deserve to be compensated when our art is exploited for commercial use.

I am almost 3 weeks post surgery and am finally getting to where I can sit up at my computer again.
Pain levels are so much better now, even with surgery swelling/bruising/pain.
I will hopefully be active again quite soon and get caught up on overdue things. 💖 Thank you for the patience.

EDIT 7/6/2022 - I posted this in the reblogs, but I’m editing it in here for the blaze post. My health has been kinda up and down and work is having troubles so I keep being sent home a few days a week. Great for rest, bad for bills! I also have surgery coming up in August that I would like to save up funds for in case something comes up.

These are meant to be quick and simple and cute ! Turn around time should be fairly quick; about 1-2 weekend days each. I work during the week in a physical job so I only have the time and energy to draw on the weekends. *edit : I do have some time on the days I’m sent home, so there will be some progress on certain week days.
I have a carrd here with all relevant information and more samples and plenty of emote/expression sheets to give you ideas. I can also work off of anime or game screenshots or other art bases if you find one with a pose/expression that fits better. My carrd also has samples of other types of art in the gallery tab; if something catches your eye, feel free to contact me for a quote and time estimate.
You can find the trello queue here if you would like an idea of how long your wait will be. I will send sketches for approval; once approved, payment is due. Art will not be sent until payment has been received.
They are all lined with with flat colors and some simple shading. :BIG: emotes are effectively a half body piece (half or most of the torso). :SMALL: is a bust piece (shoulders up).
Prices are for singles; if you wanted a matching pair/couple like the bottom left, :BIG: would be $35 and :SMALL: would be $25. Prices are all in USD.
