So knowing it was your day off you decided to sleep in. When you did finally wake up it was close to nine in the morning. You hoped you would be able to sleep in longer to catch up on your much-needed rest, but it wasn’t going to happen. You reached towards the other side of your bed, hoping your long-term boyfriend Jason would be there and felt the cold, empty part of the bed. You assumed he probably just crashed at Wayne Manor, a common occurrence. You knew he worked at night as Red Hood, and you figured out the rest of his family were vigilantes as well, so you just hoped he just crashed there and not seriously injured.

When you finally decided to roll out of bed, you grabbed some leggings, a bralette (because decency), and one of Jason’s shirts from your dresser. You slid the clothes on and then poured some cereal in a bowl and noticed that your apartment was getting kinda messy, it didn’t help you never had any time to do anything, and you decided you were going to clean with your time off, after breakfast, of course. So you started vacuuming and dusting the entire small space with your favorite moving blasting in your earbuds.

Then you heard one very loud wolf-whistle coming from the entryway of your apartment. You had hardly even noticed the neckline of the shirt slowly shifting, revealing more and more of your shoulder as you kept moving. You glanced towards the door and say your boyfriend and Dick. You pulled your earbuds out and greeted both of them, “Hey Jay! Hey Dick!” You walk over to them and give Jason a quick peck on the cheek and give Dick a hug. You noticed Jason was unresponsive, making that stupid face he made when he had a crush on you and didn’t have the balls to talk to you, and Dick was quietly chuckling. “What did you do to him Dickie Bird?”

“Nothing Y/N this is all on you.”

“What do you mean Dick?”

“Whelp last night he got a big dose of pain killers, and he became hella needy for you so here he is. Have fun." He started opening the door making a break for it.

“Great” you muttered under your breath. You then felt Jason arm’s wrapping around you.

“Hi, Babe.” You struggle to turn around. “I like you in my shirt. I’d like it even better on my floor.”

“God Jay, are you always this insufferable?”

“I dunno ask my girlfriend.” He rested his chin on your head, holding you even tighter. He then pulled you towards your bed and started spooning you.

“But Ummi,” He paused when he looked in your eyes and saw the slowly building flames of anger and decided not to complete the sentence. He rushed to grab his backpack and got out of your car, running to his bedroom to escape from your angered state.

You took several deep breaths and then grabbed your coat and purse from the backseat of your car. You then got out of the vehicle and walked towards the door in the garage to enter your house. Once you entered the small mudroom, you slid your shoes off and hung up your coat on a hook. You then proceeded to walk towards the kitchen to grab some junk food before your impending emotional blow-up. On your walk to the kitchen, you walked past a zombie-like Tim. Who with one look at you instantly woke up and moved quickly to get as far away as possible from you. When you finally did reach the kitchen, you saw Alfred pulling cookies out of the oven. Dick, Jason, and Damian were circling around the island in the middle of the kitchen waiting for the cookies. You dropped your purse on the kitchen table and made your presence known to the three distracted boys. “Damian, I thought you were going up to your room.” He quickly moved away from the table and started running towards his room. The two older boys were about to make a comment when you turned to them. “Who hit my car with a snowball?” Both their faces fell. “I don’t really care did it at this point, I just want you two to know next time something like that happens all of you are getting grounded.”

“I don’t live here Mom,” Dick argued back.

“Neither do I,” Said Jason, actually agreeing with Dick for once.

“I don’t care, I’ll force you to be grounded.” You yelled, causing them both to escape the room, probably to the Batcave.

Alfred after noticing your emotional distress simply offered you a cookie, “Miss Y/N would you like a cookie and some tea.”

“Of course Alfred.” He started boiling the water for your tea while you sat down at the kitchen table and started going through your emails. All just a bunch of junk mail and reporters asking for interviews. Relatively standard stuff considering your life.

Alfred carefully brought your cup of tea and cookie towards were you sat at the kitchen table and then sat next to you. “What happened to get you in such a state Miss Y/N?” He truly wanted to help, considering that you coming back home angry like this was a rare occasion.

And with his question launched into a full-on rant, “Well I had such a long day at work. My boss still thinks Bruce got me into the position I did, and I know he didn’t because I’ve worked my butt off all these years. And then, on the topic of Bruce, apparently he missed some kind of important meeting or something because I have been getting calls all day from those people, which by the way I need a new phone number because I refuse to let those leeches have my phone number. And then I got a call that Damian punched a kid in the face at, which I know I could’ve called you to go pick him up but I wanted him to sit in the office and evaluate his life choices, so I had to leave work earlier than I wanted. And then right as I get through those stupid gates at the edge of the property my car gets hit with a snowball and I swerve of off the road and almost got stuck in a snowbank.” You take a sip from your tea and then look back at Alfred waiting for a response.

“Well, Miss Y/N, your day has seemed quite busy. Why don’t after you finish your snack you go take a lovely bath and then come back down here to relax on the couch.”

“That sounds great Alfred.” You said between sips of your tea. After you finished the tea and the amazing cookie you headed up to yours and Bruce’s bedroom and started drawing a bath. After spending time relaxing in the warm tub you put on some warm pajamas and then went down to the in-home theater and curled up on the couch.

Halfway through one of those stupid Hallmark movies, you felt a blanket being wrapped around your shoulders. You look up and are greeted by your husbands face. "Leave me alone," you mumble, not really wanting to start anything with him.

He lightly forces you over, “No.”

“God your like an overgrown child.” You laugh as you cuddle into him, all struggle from the day fading away.

“So what happened to make you all angry today.” He asked, hoping to comfort you.

“Well first off you didn’t go to a meeting, and the entire board decided that was my problem,” Bruce looked at you with a look of realization.

“So that’s what I forgot to do.”

“Wow, what happened to the Greatest Detective?”

“That’s only at night honey.”

“God, make it all the time, I hate getting calls from those people.”

“Ok then, what else happened today?”

“Dami got sent home, so he’s grounded now. Karen, from work, still doesn’t think I’m good enough to be a nurse, even though I’ve been doing it for like fifteen years at this point, so I have no clue what her problem is. And then your kids decided it’d be fun to have a snowball fight right as I pull through the gates and hit my car, almost giving me a heart attack.”

“Alright honey. It’ll be fine tomorrow.” He says calmingly stroking your hair until you fell asleep.

As soon as you poured out a cup of coffee you heard several gunshots over the comms and dropped your cup ignoring the shattered glass and liquid on the floor, promising yourself you would get to cleaning it up later. You started running towards the Library and the Batcave entrance while listening to the panicked voices on the comms. You had identified that everyone except for Damian and Bruce had responded, your heart sank at the idea of either Damian or Bruce being injured. When you got to the library you quickly opened the bookcase and ran down the stairs stopping at the bat-computer. You immediately found the small dots that represented Damian and Bruce on the large map of Gotham on the screen and noticed how the dots were in the same location.

“Batman! Robin! One of you please answer me!” You screamed into the cave hoping your comm picked up on it. You hoped neither of them was injured but you were so scared. When Bruce first went out as Batman you were always scared he was going to die because there was no one out there with him, to help and get him to safety when he got hurt.

“Ummi,” the fear in Damian’s voice immediately broke your hear, “Batman is down. He’s bleeding so much.” Even though you knew he was a fully trained assassin the fact that he was crying gave a little insight into the severity of the wound.

“Alright baby, I need you to put pressure on his wound until someone gets there.” You glanced up at the map with everyone’s location on it and saw that Dick was closer to Bruce and Damian than you were and it would be quicker for him to get there than you.

“Nightwing I need you to get to Batman and Robin as quickly as possible and help Robin transport Batman back to the cave in the batmobile.” You pause waiting for Dick’s response and start running to set up the med-bay and change into your scrubs.

“Alright Batmom, on my way their. I'll tell you when we’re heading back to the base.” You instantly noticed the sullen tone in his voice and knew that he was truly scared for Bruce.

After you heard from Dick you started prepping the med bay for the possible bullet removal. You pulled some of Bruce’s blood from the first aid area in case he needed a blood transfusion and also grabbed your tools and started organizing them. After you deemed the area ready you hurriedly put on your operating gown, gloves, goggles, and face mask. You then got out a stretcher and moved towards where the batmobile was normally parked. About when you got there the Batmobile roared through the waterfall protecting the cave and halted to a stop on the parking spot. You started running towards the passenger side when the hatches popped open revealing your husband heavily bleeding with Damian pressing his cape against a wound on his chest. “Ummi!!!! He needs you now.”

Dick gets out from the driver's side of the car and then runs next to you and helps get Bruce out of the car. Once you strapped him down to the stretcher you check for pulse and breathing, which you thankfully found and then ordered Dick to help push the stretcher to the med bay. Once you had him in the med bay you transferred him to a bed and started to go over all of his injuries and taking pieces of his armor off of his body so you could start working.

Several hours later you had successfully removed both bullets, one lodged in his shoulder the other on the right side of his chest, stopped the bleeding, and stitched the bullet holes back up. After you finished you skillfully removed your gown, goggles, and mask and collapsed in the chair next to the Bruce was in.

When you woke up you were greeted by Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian standing awkwardly in the corner of the makeshift hospital room. You blinked a few times and then called out to them, “C’mere boys.” And with that Damian ran towards you with the rest of boys following.

“We were so worried Mom,” Dick said while the other three nodded in agreement.

“You know Bruce he’ll be back and punching henchmen as soon as he stands back up again, against my best wishes but whatever.” You say jokingly while cuddling Damian in the small chair.

A large grunt comes from the bed next to you and you see Bruce starting to wake up. “Well speak of the devil and he awakens,” you say, relived Bruce had woken up and seemed fine.

“I thought nurses were supposed to be nice to their patients Y/N.” He said teeth clenched in pain. You went to go grab some pain killers and attached it to his IV drip.

“I thought billionaires didn't dress up as bats and fight crime at night. Guess we both were mistaken.” You laugh at the look of betrayal on his face and start to move the kids upstairs. Dick, Jason, and Tim each left to their rooms while Damian was still standing outside of the Med-Bay.

“Dami, it's getting pretty late, why don't you go to bed.” You were starting to yawn, reaching out for his hand so you could coax him upstairs.

“Ummi, I think I should stay down here and protect father in case he gets attacked.”

“Your father is more than capable of taking care of himself. Go to bed so tomorrow you can protect him then. I think I've got this handled.” You look at Damian trying to hide a yawn and then glance at your watch, noting that it was about 4:30 in the morning. “Anyways Damian, you can't do anything if you're too tired to function. Let me take you upstairs sweetie.” you move your hand next to his and he quickly grabs it. You start moving up the stairs with him and then move to his bedroom. He climbed into bed and you tucked him in. You then walked back down to the Med-Bay while making phone calls. You first called Damian and Tim’s schools excusing them from school for the day. And then you called Gotham General and one of the part-time nurses so that your rotation for the day would be covered. It was definitely going to be one of those days where everyone would wake up in the afternoon.
