Something just ain’t working
I’ve been away from Tumblr for a while, the reason is simple: something’s gone wrong with my Chichester kitchen counters, and I’ve been squirrelling away like a crazy person trying to work out what it is.
Trying to fix them has been like trying to spin plates. I fix one thing, and it makes something else go wrong, I fix that, and it makes the thing that was wrong in the first place go wrong again. I’ve tried it every single way, but I’m just hard out of luck. The tutorial I wrote on this worked to begin with (I tested it many times before publishing) but even that couldn’t fix the problems I was getting later down the line.
So this is a public call to veteran experts on kitchen counter creation. Help me. I want to give the community this versatile kitchen set, but I’m being let down by some annoying bug, so if you’ve made a kitchen before, your aid and expertise will be greatly appreciated.
In the meantime I’m going to take down the downloads for this set. They don’t work, and I’m very disappointed in that, and I don’t want you to be disappointed either. When it’s working again, the set will be re-released.
You’ve had the full counters. Now it’s time for the half counters, and I haven’t gone by halves on the variations.
DOWNLOAD
There are 9 different counters in this set. All can be found under counters, all allow the placement of kitchenalia goods such as microwaves, coffee makers and mixers, the shelves have slots, as do the shelves with baskets on them. They merge in perfectly with the other Chichester full counters so you can design your kitchen unique every time.
Watch this space for more kitchen stuff. There is a lot more to come from this set still!!
Models are meshed and textured by me, please do not claim as your own or re-upload without citing me, and definitely do not put behind any pay walls.
Testing out some of my half counters...
As promised, here are my counters. This is part 1 of an ongoing project in which I plan to make the ultimate kitchen with stylings that would fit in any traditional to contemporary kitchen.
DOWNLOAD
In part 1 we have 8 1 tile counters. In future parts there will be different width counters, islands, cabinets and so forth, so watch this space!!!

Tutorial : Kitchen Counters
I haven’t posted for ages, and that’s mainly because I’ve been having a melt down over kitchen counters (as one does). There is a significant lack of tutorials on them I discovered, and so after weeks of pain, and smashing my face into brick walls, and waking up in the middle of the night going ‘maybe this will work?’ only to crash into another dead end, I finally figured it out, and so with indefatigable joy, I present to you my tutorial on kitchen counters.
This tutorial is only going to cover how to use TSRW to achieve this. I’m not going to be discussing modelling, UV mapping, or texturing. There are plenty of tutorials on that, and so I assume that before you have even got to the situation of building up this object in TSRW, that you have a model of your counter, textured it, exported it, and it’s all good to go.
decided my latest build was too cute not to post
Curb Appeal Set
DOWNLOAD
This is a 22 item set which includes
Plant pot (in 4 sizes)
Outdoor lights (ceiling, wall, lamp post, and 2 path lights)
Welly boots (In man, woman, and child, and with muddy overlays)
Boot scrapers (dog, horse and cat)
Front door mats (2 wooden semi-circle ones, and one rectangular with different designs that are all recolourable)
The wreath from my Heritage Plus+ set as a wall and floor wreath
A house name sign that has 80 variations which can be recoloured (see after the gap for all the names)
A recolour of sims 4 plant ‘a tuft outside’ that has 3 fully recolourable channels
I get the feeling that there will be updates to curb appeal as for each house I make, I can guarantee I will be wanting something different outside, but before I went too nuts, I decided to stop, and present this to you now
Today I modelled some wellies. Eventually I’ll feel good enough about this set to release it to the wild... but I still have so many more ideas, and so many little niggedy things that need ironing out. so in the meantime,.. enjoy this tease
If you thought the heritage set was fancy, well, you can make it even fancier now with these uber fancy pediments which one can find under curtains. They come in 2 flavours: semi circle and triangle (x1 and x2), and fit perfectly over the heritage windows and doors.
I’ve also created a wreath that you can literally hang on your front door. It doesn’t animate with the door when it opens alas. However it’s fully recolourable, and perfect for all seasons
To enjoy these additions, you will need to download the updated heritage set

A small interim set for this evening: 16 walls that can be used anywhere, for anything, for any style, contemporary, traditional and retro

we’ll see about that...
another sneak peek of my curb appeal set
Progress on my curb appeal project. Got my planters in game, looking very snazzy in their different sizes (plants by aroundthesims3) and have made myself some house addresses.
Went a little bit overboard with the house signs. Originally I planned to do 30 or so names. That’s enough I thought. Ends up doing 80 instead. I think that should cover it right...?
Got a few more things I want to make for this set still before I release to the public, but it’s getting there :)
Getting started on making some curb appeal for my house, starting with some classic planters
This, ladies and gentlemen, was a herculean effort. Last time I posted I mentioned I was going to make some doors, and so I did, 12 bleeding doors
And so I present to you Heritage, a 21 item set
DOWNLOAD
It includes:
3 Windows: 1 counter, 1 middle, 1 tall
2 Arches: 1 single, 1 double
4 Interior doors: 1 plain single, 1 plain double, 1 glass single, 1 glass double
4 exterior doors: 1 plain single, 1 plain double, 1 glass single, 1 glass double
And single x2 (a single door or window that takes up 2 footprints) for every window, 1 of the arches, and each single door.
So that’s 6 windows, 3 arches, and 12 doors in total. (insert exhausted sigh) hopefully that will fill the hole in my life I like to call ‘traditional-windows-and-doors-one-might-find-on-a-typical-traditional-English-house’
Enjoy and remember please don’t steal/re-upload without citing me

Progress on my traditional windows and doors set
Just a few more doors and this set will be good to go :)
Today, I present to you my Victorian style wall and floor tiles. Ta dah!
I’ll admit in terms of complexity, the floor tiles are complex (I have 18 different variants, I apologise, but it’s well worth it because it doesn’t matter what shape your room is, you can have it edged perfectly. I say that, I realise I don’t have anything for diagonal rooms, but then again, does anyone?
The walls are a lot simpler, we have a quoined version, and an unquoined version.
I have also included my marble texture as seen in the floors
DOWNLOAD
Thanks and enjoy
Floors have been updated, so please download again :)
