One month...

We have been in our new digs on "the Avenue" for one month now. Damn, I gotta take some pictures. But even better, this weekend is HonFest! I've never experienced the "hon-ness" in full effect, but if I even have the remote possibility of meeting John Waters it should be a grand ol' time.

MICA Market -- this is gonna be some cool shit!

The MICA Art Market begins today, running through Saturday at Leidy Atrium off of Mount Royal Ave. Need to keep this in mind next year (when I have the money, hopefully!) for holiday gifts.

Additional note: silly girl, don't forget about AVAM's BAZAART Fair next Thanksgiving. I'm still in shock they only hold the event for one day!

Dipped Ceramics - House Paint in "Martha Stewart" colors -- allowing contemporary aesthetics to dominate

Ceramic works can highlighting the "aesthetic of many", of "modularity"

What do you consider Ai Weiwei to be? An artist who is also a craftsman? Clark would say no. Ai works with ceramics, but is not a ceramicist. How does this speak to the contemporary nature of craft? Is the craft dying?
