I find this artist so awesome. She's Irish, her name is Genieve Figgis, you can find her on Twitter and IG, please check her out. I've read a comment defining her work Arbus-esque, and there's actually this feeling of distortion, but I also see Toulouse Lautrec, and some Disney's oldies cartoon style, like the one seen in the Aristocats. This is Paco, the second cat of my life. I adopted him when he was twelve (his Human lady died, and nobody wanted to adopt him because he was considered “old”). The first time I met him he scratched the hell out of me, and screeched like a Banshee the entire road from Bologna to where I live. Nearby Ravenna, in Italy. As soon as he arrived home with me, he refused to eat, drink, and even pee for SEVEN DAYS. Stubborn SOB. Then, one night, he jumped on my bed, and when I extended my hand trying to pet him, he gently leaned his head against it, with a tired sigh. That was it, we understood each other deeply since then. He still used his sharp fags and he scratched me daily, but I was the only one able to touch him, play with him, caressing him without major damage. One of the most sensible and intelligent creatures I ever met. He died 5 years later, very sick, but the veterinary told me he resisted way more than usual than his serious illness normally allow (he had a pancreatic cancer), possibly because he was feeling loved, and comfortable in my home. Every day I think about him, I really hope there’s an other side where I will meet him again. catsbeaversandducks
