I woke up this morning, 6am (I’m nocturnal for some international classes rn, so it was basically my midnight), read a text from a delivery company that’s honestly probably spam, got out of bed, went to my window, blinded myself with light by staring directly into the sun, said something along the lines of “I’m not going out there they’re just gonna have to come here and meet me”, and then went back to sleep.

Like borderline a hallucination. The most confusing thing they’ve ever seen. Why do humans do this? What do you mean Grace has almost no memory of this until they mention it?

- Grace vlogging: "We're monitoring the new humanoid alien to see if they wake up...it'll be difficult having to add yet another alien language to the translator but-"

Simon, in the medbay: "FUCK!"

Grace: "...okay nevermind?"

- Simon stumbling around the Mary confused and aggressive with Grace and Rocky chasing after him but then he sees the viewport full of stars and just. Freezes up.

- Grace introducing Simon to the "don't go crazy room" with all the scenes of earth.

Simon: "...do you have...trees on here?"

Grace: "Sure, what kind?"

Simon, shellshocked: "H-how many do you have?"

Cue Grace in teacher mode going through every tree-based biome on earth and Simon just wide-eyed absorbing everything.

- Simon is skeptical that he'll ever get to earth. Grace is reassuring him up until they figure out they have to go back and save Rocky. Simon lets out 1(one) big scream before plopping himself in the cockpit like "Alright, fuck it, point me there."

- Simon stepping onto an actual planet for the first time. And it's not earth but still. A planet. Full of life. With a sun. Wow.

Tfw you're recovered enough that you get to shower on your own but you're low-key dreading it because you come from a resource scarce space station and all showers are quick and cold and you know all your muscles are gonna get tense as hell and it's gonna HURT with your new wounds.
