I made this announcement on my BlueSky, but I’m putting it here too just to cover all my bases since there and here are where I have the biggest following.
I have raised my prices; beadwork is now $30 an hour instead of $20 and stained glass is now $50 an hour instead of $40.
I have tried keeping my prices affordable so more people can obtain such items, but I have to remind myself this is not only my full time job and I deserve to be paid what I feel my work is worth, but that I make luxury items at the end of the day.
My new prices won’t be for everyone, but I need to start being fair to myself.
However, to help with the rise in prices, I have signed up for Square and connected it to AfterPay, so now you can get stuff from me through AfterPay, and since I get the money all at once through AfterPay, you won’t have to wait until you’ve paid off the payment plan before getting your piece; it will be immediately shipped after it is ready to go!
