Her mom, her aunt, her thesis adviser?’ Elli laughed. ‘Her thesis adviser. Right.’ Up there, the spanking ended. The girl and her maybe-thesis-adviser walked out of our line of sight. We breathed a collective sigh of disappointment and reluctantly resumed our walk back to the dorm.
