POV: Youāre a horseback rider, you ride horses for competitions. Despite the amount of timeās youāve competed, and the amount of times youāve won, you still get nervous before competitions.
A/N: Iām like, speed running through some of these requests lol, Iām sorry its a little short, and that itās taking me so long! Writing is a hobby so Iām not too good at getting writings out faster than I get art out. But Iām glad you all stayed to read when I do manage to publish :) I still seriously need a Razor banner and some others, but I hope you all enjoy this anyways!
Razor doesnāt know much about competitions, since he hasnāt had much social interaction with humans, and doesnāt know much about their events. But every time you had a competition coming up, you would always make sure to travel to the edge of the whispering woods, where the two of you would meet. Razor always made sure to remember when you had competitions coming up, and he would always mark the dates down in a book that Lisa had given him. The librarian had been teaching Razor how to read and wrote recently, just because he asked. He asked so he could communicate better with you, and remember your competition dates. You thought it was sweet.
Today was one of those days, and you had a big competition coming up tomorrow. You entered Whispering Woods, going no further than the edge, where no monsters lurked. Even if they did, you were sure that Razor would come by, slaying them with his claymore before they could even lay a claw on you. The sound of footsteps approached from behind, and a pair of familiar, strong arms wrapped around our shoulders.
ā(Y/n). Competition today. You will... have good luck!ā The raspy voice of your boyfriend purred, as his wild silver hair tickled your nose. You smiled, as your boyfriend nuzzled into your neck. He really was like a big dog, sometimes.
āThank you Razor. Itās just.. you know how I get. And my horse hasnāt been feeling too well lately, so Iāll have to ride a new horse. What.. what if it doesnāt like me? What if I fall off? What if itās not fast enough? I mean, I donāt mind losing, but.. I just donāt want to lose that feeling of the wind flying past me..ā Razor smiled, turning you around in his grasp, his gloved hands coming up to squish at your cheeks. He proceeded to squish and pull at the flesh on your face, making silly expressions. You managed to laugh, the gentle manhandling of your face too silly not to acknowledge. Razor smiled, knowing that you always enjoyed when he did that, and it always made him happy to hear your beautiful laughter.
ā(Y/n). Youāre my.. lupical. Lupical are always.. amazing. Razor thinks you... will do great.ā Razor praised you, doing his best with his expanding vocabulary. You smiled sweetly, as you knew how happy the lessons made Razor, since he was learning to more properly communicate with you. Of course, it wasnāt always perfect, as he juggled speaking to his wolf pack and you at the same time. Ou nuzzled your face into his hands, and he pressed his forehead to your own.
āRazor wishes... you good luck. Then after.. we hunt! Youāre Razorās amazing.. boyfriend. You do well.ā The confidence swelled into you a his words, and you sighed softly, closing your eyes as you melted into Razorās embrace.
āThank you Razor. Iāll give it my very best.ā
The Calvary captain was always there fo you when you expressed an interest in doing competitive horse rifling and always encouraged you before and after competitions. He would help you train when he had time (which was usually always, you wondered sometimes how the man ever managed to keep up with his job as a Knight.), and he would go to each and every single one of your competitions. Because of this, he knew exactly your feelings before you started competitions, and he always knew just what to say each time to reassure you, and make you feel better.
Currently, the both of you stood in a back area, waiting for the horses to be prepared for the race. Your head was tucked into your boyfriendās chest, your hands curled up against him as well. Kaeya had his arms wrapped around you, his face buried into your hair. The man cooed sweet words, encouraging you to do your best.
āYouāre going to be great out there darling. Your always are. And Iāll be right here, cheering you along all the way.ā You looked up to Kaeya, your (e/c) eyes shining with anxiety.
āBut.. what if Iām not? You know how my horse hasnāt been feeling well lately.. Iāll have to ride a new horse! What if it doesnāt like me, or what if itās not as fast as my usual horse? What if I fall off?ā
āThen Iāll be there to kiss you all better. But stop worrying, itāll be fine! Animals love you, dear. Everyone does, you know this! Itās so hard for me to keep them all away from my cute little boyfriend, you know~ā You giggled, swatting playfully at your lover as he dramatically cuddled you closer to him, pretending to be distraught about how everyone loved you more than he did.
āYou know thatās not true. Besides, I know youāll love me more than anything or anyone else ever could.ā You grinned, before blushing. Kaeya gave you a mischievous smile, and you knew that that was exactly what he wanted to hear. Heād been goading you into this all along! How you could never tell, youāll never know.
āSee, there you go! Just like how Iāll love you more than anyone else, Iāll also believe in you more than anyone else. And I believe that youāll tame that horse, and leave all the other competition in the dust.ā You rolled your eyes, before smiling softly and leaning up to give Kaeya a small peck on the lips. He pouted that he couldnāt get more, but you did need to get going soon.
āThank you, love. You know how much I needed to hear that.ā Kaeya grinned, his eye thinking with adoration.
āOf course, (Y/n). Now, go get em.ā
