Palette for Februrary!!!

This month so far has been a pretty warm one for midwesterners; I’m definitely in the spring mood.

I’m Hailey and I’m a student artist in high school.

This blog is for me to show my art to the public and hopefully give people ideas and inspiration with my pieces. I’ll probably talk about my processes and feelings about certain types of art-related things too.

As an aspiring game designer, I try to make cool ideas out if little day-to-day things, like teacups and spools of string. Art has always been my passion, ever since my mom stuck a pencil in my hand one day to keep me from causing a ruckus. I didn’t start taking art seriously until 6th grade, and I finally found out I wanted to major in game design my sophomore year of highschool. I’m a self-taught artist who desires to be at her peak performance always.

My biggest project right now is a story that mixes the political and social issues of today into a story of a boy in a big city who has to battle gang violence, police corruption, drug cartels, and his own struggle with mental illness and the paranoia of his future.

Some things to know about me are that I’m a huge fan of plants; I really do love botany. I have a couple of self-grown plants - my favorite is a jar of moss; it’s name is Greecho.

I also love to get active - namely with racquetball and tennis. I’m also on my high school’s wrestling team as a manager! I’m a pretty energetic person, and I love to find unique ways to solve problems.
