i don't like how when you inform people that if republicans win the usa election and they implement project 2025, that there this is not any kind of a win for palestine, and the united states also becomes a christian fascist dictatorship. christian nationalists love israel. they support israel wholeheartedly. you will not see relief for palestine if republicans win. it will be worse.
if you are going to tell people not to vote for biden, and no one should have to as he is a genocidal cunt, then you should be prepared with something more than crickets when people ask you what the actionable thing to do is to keep the united states from being a fascist dictatorship and palestine being destroyed at the same time. has anyone even got anything that isn't just moral high-ground behavior and/or vague bold cry for freedom while sitting on your ass at home?
like not to be fatalistic, but what can you do when everything seems like a massive trolley problem? i'm asking this genuinely.
If you're gonna pretend to care about Project2025 and fearmonger for Democrats in the Palestine tag then you should've looked up what it says about Israel and Africa.
Biden is fulfilling almost EVERY goal that they have outlined for the middle east already and 2024 just started.
Biden won't stop Project2025, he's having his administration follow it like a manual right now. He isn't gonna save anyone, least of all Palestinians which is plain to see so let's not use that logic to get votes, that's beyond fucked up.
I've posted links and screenshots extensively on my blog so instead of reposting them I'll ask you to check the project2025 tag and heritage foundation tag on my blog if you want some proof.
Otherwise read the document and cross reference it with headlines yourself. Look at what it says about the Abraham Accords, "securing the freedom of navigation in the Red Sea/Suez", about supporting Israel as it defends itself by any means necessary. Then look up headlines about it that include Biden or his admin.
It's a verifiable fact that he's doing this.
Regarding the part about sitting on your ass; I also disagree.
People have been shutting down roads & highways leading to Boeing & Lockheed Martin so employees can't work, they've delayed cargo ships so weapons can't be shipped, they protest, they raise funds so working families can strike. There are people organizing a global strike as we speak and have gained over 60k pledges in a matter of months so theyre nearly at 100k. There are brilliant minds behind this trying to make it accessible and writing demands. There are people who donate to these causes so the organizers can fully focus on it, people spreading the word so they garner more support.
Join them. Unionize your own workplace and strike, protest, etc. Pick your ability and run with it. There are people building futures that we all want and they arent waiting on politicians to say it's okay. You don't have to either. And none of us will do it on our own alone anyway. Change like this requires team effort, don't wait to be invited to the future. Make it.
And if you're asking genuinely about everything being a trolley problem? Trade places with the person on the tracks. Yes I'm being serious. That's my answer. If you want to save them, then take their place. You take the risk so they don't have to.
Nothing worth fighting for will come easy and not everyone will be willing to fight for a future they cant see. Besides that it's true that fighting in any meaningful way can get you arrested, on a list, or worse.
But someone must do it. And if you want to save others from that fate then it's You who must make the sacrifice so they don't have to. And when everything feels like a trolley problem anyway, why not approach it this way? That's where I'm at; if everything is gonna get worse until we die anyway, why not at least try fixing it before that happens; what's there to lose that wasn't already lost? You know what I mean?
And once you make the choice to fight in this way then you'll realize how many other people made the same choice. How many other people care as much as you. How it's those people who are making the real differences. It's not as hopeless or far fetched as you think I promise.
i don't care about the democrats or any politicians at all. i don't believe they'll do anything any better for anyone, and i don't believe that voting for biden is the solution either. this was just a question asking for actionable things to do for anyone (even myself) who is faced with what is a horribly difficult issue, and i appreciate your answer.
it's terrifying that the implementation of fascism definitely appears to be on going, and that's already been something setup for a while for sure. my effort was meant to call out people who provide no answers, just silence when asked what can be done, as i've been frustrated with the thought of everyone who will suffer under a dictatorship as well as the plight of the palestinians in tandem.
thank you for providing actionable solutions and not silence, though it does seem dire given how long it might take to stop what's happening and i don't know how much will be able to happen if any of this does go through imminently. politicians seem to keep people busy with culture wars while they plan these things, but that's been the case.
always hoping that the future is brighter for everyone without looming threats like this or genocide.
