Band on the Web wanted ad isn't just a wanted ad. It's a tool for making online auditions. You can record an audiosample of your skills. Hi, guys! So, I wanted to tell you some things that have been going on lately in my life. I've been working this whole month. (In Finland youngsters get jobs for few weeks in summer.) My job is to sing&play the piano in my hometown with my lovely friend! For example, we play in the nursing homes, kindergartens and medical centres. Our job is to make people happy!

On our first day we played in my hometowns market place! I'll put some pictures down here:

The next day we went to our local nursing home for people with special needs. We sang there for half an hour and it was amazing to see a big smile in their face. Music really makes a better place. After that we played six songs and we let them decide whether the song was good or bad. I drawed smiley faces on a paper the night before, so everyone would be able to vote.

In the evening we played in our local library and some kids drew this to us! (the picture says: ''Nice, Oona & Talvikki!'')

After failed tryout sessions The Most Awesomest Band in the World are about to quit. There's no future without guitar player.... but could bass player's finding save the band?

Let us introduce Oona, the "Are you a pop singer?" -contest winner. She won the contest with her amazing cover of Adele's Someone like you.

16 year old Oona loves singing and spends her time in three bands. She is our first spotlight artist and you will be hearing more from her soon enough!

Hi, everyone! My name is Oona. You may be wondering where my name has become? I was born in 1997 Oulu, Finland. So, my name is finnish. I'd like to tell you a little backround about my name: The name Oona has become of the name ''Una'', which means ''one,universal'' in latin, and ''happy'' in icelandic. In Finland the o's are not pronounced like they are in the word 'moon' but like in the word 'door'. Here's also a few famous Oonas: Oona Chaplin (Charlie Chaplins wife), Oona Hart (American model), Oona Garthwaite (American singer-songwriter).

It's hard to describe how good you are at playing or at singing if you have only to write it. You might be really good with your skills but you just can't put it out with words. And why should you - you're a musician, not a writer.

On the other hand, when you seek for people who can play to your band, some people are extremely good writers but their skills aren't what you might be looking for. You have to invite people over for a try out session and go through multiple candidates to find the One to fit your needs.

We got great amount of entries and votes. Let us introduce you the winners of the competition: Oona, JanneK and Veera.

The competition was held from april to may and everyone could give their votes for the singer they liked best.

16 year old Oona's cover from Adele's Someone like you got whopping 325 votes and brought her the first place. Janne got 166 votes and Veera reached her third place with 65 votes.
