Today when this one guy went up to bear his testimony he said “This week I realized that the one person with the biggest broken heart is Jesus. It is like we are beetles with soft bodies and we are growing shells of armor and Jesus helps us to grow them, and when our shells are damaged like if there is a hole in our shell then Jesus helps us to repair the hole and regrow our armor because he also has a broken heart and he is there to help us heal” and it was very pure

the last time i was with him and his wife she said “bananena, before you go i want you to know that you may think that shakira is the greatest but it is actually you that is the greatest, bye” and it was like i was being spiritually uplifted by a mormon power couple

this week i was talking with one of my colleagues in the writing center to seek his feedback on a workshop plan and he was like “yes, our job is to disrupt the hierarchy, the unfair and arbitrary distribution of power, and through a redistribution of power create equity and community” and i was like “wow thank u for being a pure-and-beautiful-children-of-the-earth mormon dude and not at all a trash mormon dude #blessed!!”

While I was away my parents got a Google Home but I didn’t know until I sat down with them at the kitchen table and my dad said, “Now I am going to show you a magic trick! :)” Then he shouted, “HEY GOOGLE, PLAY ‘STYLE’ BY TAYLOR SWIFT ON YOUTUBE!!!!!!!!” and he was like :D because he was just so pleased, also he loves that song
