I'm mostly replacing the commentary on this page again, since the original Patreon version was mostly just me beating myself up over forgetting a whole week's worth of posts.

To the point, though, does it technically count as a spoiler for me to be drawing D-Reaper Jeri this early?

Okay, this is another page where the commentary on the original Patreon post was entirely me being flabbergasted that I'd forgotten to post the PREVIOUS week's comics and was having to unload two week's worth all at once. But really, the comic itself kind of says it all already. I mean, this isn't even the first illusion-based obstacle they've faced at this point. It's just a bit irritating as the viewer to be stuck waiting for the characters to catch on to something we all already realized, ya know?

Yes, I know it's weird that I used the Japanese version of Squid Girl's catchphrase thing but wrote out Gekkomon's in English. Half the reason that line is even in the comic was to fill up some empty real estate on the page, so I wasn't thinking about things too hard (like, even less than usual)

So, if you didn't see me tell the story over in the latest Rayearth comic: when I originally drew this comic for Patreon, I completely forgot to actually post it for a whole week. The author commentary for that post was entirely me beating myself up over the brain fart, mostly because there really isn't anything else to say about this comic other than "I thought Rika flying around on Lakitu's cloud would be funny." These comics are not very deep.

Okay, ya'll are getting the polished, professional version here. When I originally drew this comic for Patreon, I somehow managed to completely finish and edit the thing but then TOTALLY FAILED TO POST IT. Like, I was also busting out some convention comics and blog posts that week, and it all the confusion I just... forgot about the regular weekly stuff. It just sat in my folders for a whole week until I went to post the NEXT week's comics and realized something looked funny. I am clearly very good at what I do.

(With that in mind, it's honestly pretty ironic for that week's comics to be going public the same time that I'm totally bogged down in a whole set of Animazement 2026 comics.)
