Yes, I'm running a week behind on these. I've actually got a comic for episode 39 penciled already... and it's somehow even MORE dumb than THIS comic is.

Yeah, I know I already did the "Takato's oblivious" joke once recently. I just really wanted to draw the visual contrast.

And in all seriousness, it genuinely is a LOT creepier re-watching that scene with the full knowledge of what's actually going on. I'd forgotten just how little fanfare the episode actually gives this moment. It's almost as if this series is pretty good or something.

This is why 99% of my current gaming activities consist of playing 30-year-old games on emulators.

Also, I started to do an extra comic on this but it wasn't very funny so I threw it out, but MAN there's a lot of talking and flashing back in this episode. Like, even setting aside the usual "we gotta fill time with something that won't take long to draw" stuff, a lot of the conversations here feel like they really should have happened in episode 4, not episode 14. There's kind of a lot of this going on around this point in the show, but it's just weird, is all.
