Steve's Christmas Charity Drawathon Sunday 2nd December 2018
'Tis the season to be drawy!
What's it all about? I've decided to do something positive and use my drawing skills to raise money for some charities i'm passionate about. So, on Sunday 2nd December i'm taking on the challenge of producing twenty 20-minute drawing commissions in one day, with all the proceeds going to charity. I'll be asking for a minimum donation of ÂŁ10 (plus ÂŁ1 for UK p&p) for each commission, so if I can fill all the slots that will mean at least ÂŁ200 raised!
What do you get? An A5-sized original and unique drawing on good quality paper made with archival artist's materials (probably coloured pencils or pen and ink) like this festive Banal Pig.
The drawing will be based on your suggestion, so I'll ask you for a theme or idea when you make a pledge.
I'll be posting all the commissions on Monday 3rd December, so you'll receive the artwork well in time for Christmas if you want to give it as a gift.
You'll also get a warm and satisfying feeling of helping some really good causes.
How can you get involved? I'm taking orders in advance, first come, first served (limited to one commission per person), so If you'd like one please register your interest on this form: tinyurl.com/stexmasdraw I'll be sharing my progress throughout the day on twitter.com/banalpig and www.facebook.com/banalpig so you can see how I'm getting on with your commission and check out all the others.
You could also get involved by donating to the below charities, or a charity of your choice, because it's a nice thing to do.
What are the charities? I'm going to split the funds raised between four chosen charities:
The Trussell Trust (Foodbanks)
Bradford Metropolitan Foodbank
RSPCA
Dogs Trust
Who am I? I'm Steve Tillotson, I've got a Master's in Fine Art from the Royal College of Art, I've been making comics since 2005 and my first full length graphic novel Untitled Ape's Epic Adventure from Avery Hill Publishing came out in 2016.
