"Valko, stop! Put that down!"

Ever since Valko found your apartment, he's been appearing on your balcony from time to time completely unannounced. Not that you mind since he's proven himself to be harmless, despite the whole "werewolf" thing. But this is ridiculous. You chase him around your living room, following his every move like he's an overgrown toddler who can't keep his hands to himself.

"I just-" He picks up your throw pillow, giving it a good sniff before throwing it to the floor. "Why does your place smell different every time I visit?" He mutters. His ears twitch as he grabs another item (your books) to give it a personal inspection.

"Careful with that, please!" You yell after him, though he seems too preoccupied probing every nook and cranny of your apartment. Now normally, you wouldn't say these next words to anyone (any dog?) but right now you feel like you have no choice.

"Valko! Bad dog!"

Valko flinches like he got shot. He probably did, metaphorically. The book in his hands fall to the floor. You glare at it, then at him, making your intention known.

"...what did you say?" He stalks towards you, frowning. He would look scary if not for his obviously drooped ears and his fluffy tail falling limp behind him.

You stand your ground. "You heard me. You... were being a bad d-" Your vision tilts as he tackles you to the couch, his hands on either side of your head, caging you in. Sure, you expected a reaction from him, but this reaction feels like you just insulted his entire family. Maybe you did? You're honestly still trying to navigate this whole "werewolf friendship" thing.

"Take it back," he growls, though there's no real bite to it. If you squint, he almost looks desperate that you start to feel bad. But you're nothing if not stubborn.

"No." He deflates at your response. You see him blink a few times, tail slowly wagging behind him like he's processing what to do next. You sigh and push him off you so you can sit up to have a proper talk. He relents easily.

"Valko, you know I don't mind you visiting. You're always welcome here." You keep an eye on his tail, smiling a little when you see it thumping on the sofa. Then, you clear your throat. "But! You can't just barge in and move my stuff around all willy-nilly, okay? I took time and effort to make this place look all pretty! So next time, be more gentle... alright?"

He's silent for a moment. You can't tell if he's sulking or taking it all in, but part of you does feel bad. You're never good at scolding anyone in the first place, but scolding someone with cute wolf ears and a fluffy tail? He looks like a kicked puppy, your heart clenches. Before you can spiral further, he speaks.

"Sorry. I'll be more..." He looks away, scratching the back of his neck. "Careful. With your things."

You smile, feeling proud. "Thank you. I appreciate that."

Again, he goes silent. It takes you a few seconds before realizing he's waiting for you to say something else. Now it's your turn to look away, feeling awkward at what you're about to say next.

"Good boy."

The effect is so immediate that you can't help but laugh. He perks up, a proud grin on his face before tackling you back to the couch. This time, you happily let him take you down with a loud giggle, patting his head and scratching his ears in delight.

"So, why does your apartment smell different every time I visit?"

The antis actually scared Infold so bad they can't even put a number on Caleb's jersey. A single number on a basketball jersey. The team he plays for, yeah you can't even read the team name. It's just a bunch of symbols.

The censorship is so crazy, you can feel they moved this banner up from it's actual scheduled date because they desperately needed to make money. They threw Caleb and his mains under the bus for a quick cash grab. Just like the Wander in Wonder banner being pushed up in re-run schedule.

To the antis, your "boycott" started in June and the revenue was still above 30 million, which is within Infold's average low.

Meanwhile, our boycott started June 30th and July's revenue was 10 million, which is extremely low. Shut the fuck up about how July's low revenue was all you antis. You didn't do shit. In fact, many of you tried to encourage people to spend to help "save" the global servers.

The cancellation scandal of their previous otome game, Mr. Love Queen’s Choice, resulted in the loss of the game. Infinity Nikki has undergone several changes, the biggest being the massive retcon of their base lore, which caused major uproar - but also passed without comment. There have been no major consequences for the company through either of these scandals. Infold likely will not break unless they are forced to.

This post isn’t meant to upset or monger fear for those of us who are still hopeful: it’s to set expectations. While I still believe Valko has a chance to return, it is worth taking the time to acknowledge that he may not, and what that means for those of us who will no longer want to engage with Infold’s properties afterwards.

In the meantime, a friendly reminder from your fandom elder: money is the loudest form of action. The Infinity Nikki boycott went on strong for FOUR MONTHS throughout Infold’s silence. We’ve already seen reports of July’s revenue, so we know that the boycott is making a heavy indent in their profits. 70% is not nothing. Even if you are not personally putting money into the game, you still have the power here.

So remember: if you want to see change from Infold, the change starts with you. Don’t log in. Don’t spend money. Make sure none of the widgets are running on your devices (this reflects activity whether you log in or not and activity = calculable potential revenue). Keep posting with the relevant hashtags on social media, and don’t be shy in discussing false advertising/fraud. Share that you are still boycotting, and be loud about not returning to the game if there is no change.

@cairoblair has been giving daily updates on the Valko situation, including details from the CN side of things and insights from a business/marketing perspective and metrics on how Infold and LaDS are doing on their socials and revenue. Not to mention a regular supply of hopium, bc let's face it, we need a bit of it. They also have a ton of resources for actions we can take to gain attention to bring back Valko!

Stay skeptical on social media, a LOT of misinformation and rumors have been swirling around with alleged devs contacting random users on social media and questionable 'news' articles. Until infold comes out with an official statement we have no idea what's going on. I know we're all frustrated and antsy and searching for anything, but don't let your emotions control you. Ask yourself who is posting, why they're posting, what they're posting, and what perspective they're posting from.

DO NOT SPEND REAL MONEY - if you still want to log in, for ex you just renewed your aurum pass and want to get your money's worth, then DO NOT spend real money on LaDS. This directly effects their revenue and shows infold our displeasure with their choices. Their revenue is currently in free fall and the lower it goes, the more of an effect we have on their bottom line, the more leverage we have in this situation as players

the hate campaigner was fueled by hate, bullying, and selfishness (and likely by people that didn't even play LaDS, spend money on LaDS, and exasperated by bots). Love is stronger than hate and we show this by spending the money we would have spent on Valko's debut on related charities!

im extra disappointed from a game standpoint because i know there was going to be a lot of lore added and explained with his introduction bc of his position that we’re now missing out on, and the potential delays in already long awaited updates that re-workshopping this change will cause.

also just genuinely surprised because at the very least, from a business standpoint, all the sunken cost for him alone feels like it should’ve been the last resort for them to do this and not the first solution, since they’ll never make any money back on him now.
