But one is a stranger, a woman she notices while she sits on a bench, gathering herself. It’s a type of woman she has never seen before, because there are no old women in Barbieland. When Barbie looks at her, she finds her beautiful and tells her so. The woman already knows. Suddenly Barbie, the fraught aspirational figure, has beheld someone she might aspire to be, and it is a radiantly content nonagenarian, reading a newspaper on a Los Angeles bench, who knows what she’s worth.
“The idea of a loving God who’s a mother, a grandmother — who looks at you and says, ‘Honey, you’re doing OK’ — is something I feel like I need and I wanted to give to other people,” Gerwig says. When it was suggested that this scene, which Gerwig calls a “transaction of grace,” might be cut for time, she remembers thinking: “If I cut that scene, I don’t know why I’m making this movie. If I don’t have that scene, I don’t know what it is or what I’ve done.”

Ayyy have you seen the announcement of the Kodaka x Uchikoshi collab game~?
I saw the announcement about Tookyo Games forming on Twitter today (guess Komatsuzaki can finally take “freelancer” off his Twitter profile now), and just took a look at the concept art for the planned games.
No, I did not watch the entire livestream, because if you think I have 90 straight minutes of free time, you don’t know who you think you’re talking to, haha. As such, they may have answered some of the things I muse about here in this post–if they did, I apologize.
My overall opinion on this is: good! I don’t care what anyone says, DR3 and V3 carry a lot of really obvious “creator is tired of being shackled to this series” baggage right below the surface, so I think this is great since
it frees up DanRon to be taken over by someone else who hopefully can bring in some fresh ideas
it lets Kodaka (and Uchikoshi, and everyone else) work on something new and different without having to push a flagship franchise
But anyway, here’s my thoughts on the concepts they shared so far:

Asking Kodaka Kazutaka about 7 Years of Dangan Ronpa
It’s been about 7 years since Dangan Ronpa 1 came out in 2010. Since then that new IP has grown to include anime, stage shows, manga, and other media and become a beloved series. While the series has been spreading since the release of the first game, the man who birthed it, Kodaka Kazutaka, has become a name that echoes throughout the industry. For Kodaka, who has said he is taking a break from Dangan Ronpa, he looks back over the seven years he has continued the franchise and what he plans to do in the future.
No direct spoilers, just really goddamn long.
