I seriously cannot believe, that we've been engaged for 3 months!!
It literally feels like it was just last week that I was sitting in my aunt's living room, blinking as I felt a huge goofy grin spread across my face, trying to wrap my head around the fact that I'm now engaged to my best friend โค
I really love you a lot, you know that? Nobody has ever made me feel the way you make me feel, as cliche as that sounds. You make me genuinely happy, you calm my anxiety with even just a "I'm here" or "I love you so much", even just seeing those little reassurances, makes it easier for me to breathe and remember that everything is, or will be ok.
You make me feel like a prince. Like I'm the most handsome, funny, kindest boy ever. You make me feel so good about myself and like I'm worth loving and worth the work it takes to love me (which I know is a lot, I know I can be a handful). You show me everyday, what it feels like to be loved and accepted unconditionally.
And as if I wasn't lucky enough to have all of that, you also happen to be my absolute best friend. I know I can always tell you what's going on, why I'm upset, the things that I've been through. I can always trust you to have my back, to listen to what I have to say, to never make me feel like the things I'm feeling or thinking are invalid. I know I can always trust you to listen to what I'm saying. You know me better than anyone babe, and you can untangle what's in my head better than anyone (myself included) which never stops amazing me. To me it always feels so confusing, trying to turn my thoughts and feelings into a language that others will understand, like trying to translate a language I don't speak. But you, you ALWAYS know exactly what I was trying to say. No matter how jumbled it might come out, somehow you're able to pick through the mess that is my brain, and find EXACTLY what I wanted and I'll never be able to thank you enough for giving me that clarity and peace of mind.
I can always be my completely authentic self around you โค every bad joke, nerdy rant, every freak out over a cool new movie (I still really wanna see that!!) or game. Everything that I'd be anxious over if I did that around anyone else, I can do around you. I can make weird noises at you without having a wee anxiety attack over "omg my voice cracked, they're totally judging me or laughing at me right now oh my god". I can be my introverted self and you never judge me for it, only love me more for the little quirks that come with it. I love how you always incorporate that knowledge into my paragraphs, showing me that you truly do love me no matter what.
I love so so much that I can babble to you about my favorite things on the phone and never be self conscious about it. I know that I can just sit there for 10 minutes explaining the evolution of xenomorphs or tell you all about the DoomGuy lore in Doom 4, or fanboy over the newest episode of Supernatural that I watched and all my favorite lines from it and you just sit there and listen and tell me that I'm such a dork but that it's what you fell for in the beginning (which I love hearing)
I love going through my clothes and thinking about what ones I wanna send you and how cute you'll look wearing my clothes, which will be way too big on you but it'll make it 2678 times cuter and I'll be a huge puddle of love over it, then daydreaming about the days where I can't find a certain shirt and see you walk by with it on.
I love you SO so much baby, I can't wait to start our forever โค
