#kangel #nso #needy streamer overload #needy girl overdose #LONG TAGS WARNING #this took a lot of thought and effort so yall are getting my dissertation #i was listening to cubism and cubibibibism a lot recently #id heard them before ofc but i recently found out theyre composed by sasuke haraguchi. sasuke haraguchi!!! who produced hito mania #and medicine!! some of my favorite teto songs!!#such a small world and full of vocaloid/utauloid producers #if you havent heard the song theres a line where she goes "i want to be a work by cezanne. ok kangel!!#so i tried a style mimic of cezanne. cezanne actually isnt a cubist- he's an impressionist but his style served as inspiration for the #cubist movement! in the end i dont know if cezannes style comes through or if this looks like just generally impressionist #but i had a lot of fun painting this regardless. i might paint like this more tbh!! it feels a lot more free. no lineart!!!!#i originally wanted to post this along with a picasso-style ame #but i know that will take me some time to complete too and im impatient so im posting this first hahaha #some nitty gritties - the angel wings took for.ev.er. i hate drawing wings and especially rendering them fully? hellll no. i couldnt figure #it out.plus i dont believe cezanne has ever painted angels in his own style so it was difficult with no reference.. as my friend pointed ou #impressionism is a very secular time in art history. so no angels?? [smashes phone]#but i thought the wings would fit with the idea of wanting to be a cezanne vs a picasso - ame's desire vs her reality. so i tried my best #by the way kangels hair is really hard to render. it took me several iterations to figure it out!! and im also scared i overrendered..#it looks a little smooth no.. not really fitting the impressionism. well its the best i got without compromising the structure of the hair #lastly the background. i wanted to sit her on the ground because even as an angel kangel is still bound by earth.. something like that?#theres a shot in the cubibibibism mv of someone watching the mv in public. the background is very vaguely based on that-#theres a picnic table u can see lololol idk it doesnt look like much #but in the end i changed the background to fit with the “ideal” cezanne - something beautiful and set outside with a blue sky trees andwate #even if its still sortof urban hehe #its painted over now but in my sketch theres text in the background - i wrote out the line “i caught an old man staring at me...”#over and over. i thought this line was really interesting between the two versions of the song. and of course it comes right before/after #“i want to be a work by cezanne”. well thats all thank u for reading if u got this far!!
