I used to think it was important to have common interests with the person that you are in a relationship with but now I think it is more important to be similar in other aspects. like how kind you are. how you treat the people you care about, how you treat strangers. how you deal with anger. how you deal with pain. and not necessarily dealing with all these things the same way but being perceptive enough to understand what action each situation calls for. it’s important for both people to be on the same page about what that action should be. it’s important to me to have that kind of synchrony.

How beautiful is meeting someone by coincidence. 

as much as this site favors being super romantic with your partner 24/7, its truly better to find someone who balances intimacy with a true respect for the grind - someone that understands when you gotta buckle down put in the hours to achieve, and is right there doing the same. be each other’s supports and build a baller life together.

as women we have to make sure we have our own. our own finances, our own passion, our own drive, our own job, our own life, our own self esteem, our own spirituality, our own confidence, our own peace. when you have nothing of your own, a man can walk up with a little and it feels like a lot. but when you have your own, a little bit doesn’t impress you.

I just want…..someone to be so utterly enamored by me in every way?? but I don’t want to be romanticized. I want to be fully understood on every level. to be seen as fundamentally whole. I want security and respect and I want the freedom to still be me. I don’t want sacrifice tbh….I think it’s overrated… I just want to coexist. not two halves that complete each other but two wholes that compliment one another….and I don’t think that is asking for too much
