The 1.17 patch is here! This isn’t the only big news though... Thanks to the assistance of an old community contact who wishes to remain anonymous, we have attained the source code. You read that right! For those who may be unaware or just joining the fun now, the game’s code hasn’t been modified since 2011. In the years since, the FeralHeart community has remained loyal, hopeful, and strong throughout the ups and downs, and so it is with great joy that we can finally reveal this great news with you all. As we take this next step forward in Feral Heart’s development we staff want to take a moment to thank all of those who faithfully stuck through with Feral Heart through out the years.

Well…. Someone said it’d be like Memorial Day.

Staff Memorial Day.

Well, there is a Memorial Day thread. Almost no one(in comparison) looked at it or seemed to give much thought.

Now you’re gonna pay attention to one, because it is about old staff?

…. I’m sorry, but to me, that is just.

It’s not right.

I might be over-reacting a bit but, I take things like this seriously.

First off since when did Memorial Day simply & solely become the term to describe an American holiday? The word “memorial” in itself simply means “something, especially a structure, established to remind people of a person or event.” So adding the word “day” to “memorial” is simply stating then that it is a day dedicated to “something, especially a structure, established to remind people of a person or event.” No where in this description do I see these terms described as just a day to celebrate American military etc. No where do I see the definition stating that these two words together are to describe the American holiday ONLY. To think so is selfish and foolish. Do not act like those self righteous Americans who believe that they are entitled to everything. Memorial days aren’t just for American soldiers.

I believe you sat there reading that forum post and grossly twisted something innocent into something ugly for the sake of a cheap Tumblr post. The user who described the event innocently used the term “memorial day” to describe the nature of the event they’d imagine. I highly doubt anyone sat there thinking of a way to associate it to the American holiday version of Memorial Day YET ALONE to disrespect such a holiday! I’m disgusted and insulted that you’d even try to insinuate such things especially given my deep respect for that day and our troops! For heavens sake I come from a military family and my fiancé is a United States Marine… It’s why my Feral Heart character/mascot is based after the military. So if anyone should be even remotely offended by this it would have been me and I wasn’t.

Then you go on to say that users are going to pay attention to this “staff memorial” thread over the memorial thread focused on the American holiday. First of all who are you to assume anything? Your rude to even act like everyone is obligated to comment on the American holiday memorial thread. So what if some people didn’t comment on it? I highly respect Memorial Day and our troops and I didn’t sit there making a fuss that users didn’t go crazy posting on that thread. Does it mean that they don’t respect the troops simply because they didn’t post more on a thread about the holiday? NO. Did you ever stop to think that many people on our forum site are not even American and perhaps that’s why they didn’t care to comment? No. Did it occur to you that perhaps many people were busy & away actually respecting the holiday as was I and that’s why they weren’t on Feral Heart commenting on that thread? No.

I’ll tell you what you did, you just sat there turning and twisting things unnecessarily in your head to make it all into some hateful thing. To once again paint the Feral Heart staff and community as something ugly. You’re seeking drama where there was none and you’re making something where there was nothing. You’re the one being disrespectful to our American holiday by including it in such petty drama. Take your false notions and corrupt mind somewhere else.
