All the pain just sits there in my chest, slowly compressing my heart. What the actual fuck have we become? Stupid little lizard brains trying to be king of the rock. It's all so incredibly stupid. Babies are dying every day, everywhere, so many goddamn places, and those who would be, should be their protectors, the ones who are supposed to be keeping them safe and whole, are pissing on their graves and continuing the bloodshed. Every day the human race takes a heavy, measured step toward the edge of a cliff and I want to scream until my lungs burst because all I can do is watch as these dumb fucking people in government, in the military, use the power they have to try and carve their names into the tree trunk of life. I can't stop crying for these sweet babies who know nothing about why, only that they are alone now. Or for the parents who will never see their child's beautiful face again, or their parent, sibling, or friend. So many lives lost over lines in the sand. Humans have lost the plot. I feel like all I do is cry anymore and what does that solve? So I'll lay down in the grass, and maybe then at least my tears will be good for something.
