As you can see, I had a field day annotating this chunk. This chunk is very corrupted and dishonest because the author decides to play the victim and pretty much blame black ārappersā for the use of the N word. The authorās immature way of saying basically that black rappers need to stop saying the N word first in order for āchangeā is putting complete responsibility for white people saying the N word on black people. If it makes it easier to understand, Iāll put the authorās claim- with my input as the āblack peopleā- into a meme sort of format:
Black people: āNiggaā
White people: āNiggaā
BP: āDonāt say nigga!ā
WP: āBut you said it first! I was just singing the song with you..ā
BP: āEven if I said it first, you are capable of knowing what is and isnāt okay for you to say. Also, even if you say you arenāt racist, the history of white people using the word is racist. That being said, stop saying nigga.ā
WP: ā...uh you first! You started it, after all! I wouldāve never said it, had it not been for you so.. YOU stop saying niggaā
Along with blaming black people, the author also uses corrupt terms like ācomplainā and āwhite girlā. When most people hear the word ācomplainā they think of nagging, typically over petty and irrelevant things. The authorās use of that word is meant to describe when people speak against racism, and ācomplainā seems like an inappropriate word for that. In addition, when most people hear the term āwhite girlā they get an image of an innocent woman who couldnāt possibly purposely do anything wrong. When the author uses the term, she (a āwhite girlā) is using it to imply that theyāve simply been duped into saying a racial slur, because it was in a song.
