Ben shrugs slightly. "You know what my parents are like... certain things rub off. So we're throwing mom a big surprise party for her birthday and well it wouldn't be a party without you there."

"She told me that she wanted nothing to do with me. Why would she want me at her party?" He sighed.

"I don't know, all I know is she didn't mean it when she said that she wanted nothing to do with you. I overheard mom and dad talking the other day and she said she made a mistake."

He sighed and wiped his hand over his face. "What time's the party?"

"Around 6 it starts. You mightn't believe that mom made a mistake uncle Jake, but she did sound very hurt when dad and her were talking about it the other day." Ben shrugs slightly.

"I'll be there. I should get ready though. It's gonna take awhile to get there."

"I should head back so dad and mom don't think I've done a runner." He nods.
